Hi Samba , I have installed samba 4.4.5 on RHEL 7.2 (kernel ver. 3.10.0-327.el7.x86_64). i am unable to configure Point'n'Print automatic printer driver deployment. i have followed below link to configure: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Configuring_Point%27n%27Print_automatic_printer_driver_deployment. Client are Windows 8.1 (x64) and Windows 10 (x64). We assume that samba supports only driver ver3 and ver4 support is not there, can some one help me what is the roadmap for this. Make sure you use the usermapping. username map = /etc/samba/samba_usermapping containing: !root = NTDOM\Administrator NTDOM\administrator Administrator administrator And according to the wiki. Hi list, i have a samba member-server in a samba4-AD with cups. cups works fine, i can print the testpage from cups and from a windowsclient. but, i am not able to upload a printer driver to a samba4 print-server: i followed this howto: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Configuring_Point%27n%27Print_automatic_printer_driver_deployment in printmanagement.msc i can add the server, and i can see the printer configuerd in cups. An appropriate Policy [1] is set up so that no user interaction should be required for the driver installation. hi everyone i am trying setup point n print for canon ip7250, i have downloaded the windows driver which comes as an exe file, to retrieve all the setup files from the exe i started the installation then copied the installation files from the tmp folder, then cancelled the installation, i searched through the install files and cab files for drivers and was unable to recognise them, has anyone

Good morning! For some time I have been experiencing a problem with adding Windows drivers for printers available and configured in CUPS already. Not being utterly familiar with how the process works I first tried it as root from different Windows machines, both W2K and XP Pro. I saw the driver files being uploaded, but then got an error message 'Printer settings could not be saved.
