Compiling legacy LSI megaraid drivers (Linux 2.6.11) with xen 2.0.7?
Hi all,
I''ve been using Xen for a while and I am trying to install it onto a
Dell Poweredge 2950. The 2850 uses a PERC4/Di raid on motherboard,
which requires the LSI Legacy SCSI Raid driver to be compiled into the
2.6.11-xen0 kernel. I''ve been recompiling the kernel by:
1. Go into the linux-2.6.11-xen0 directory. Select the driver using
"make ARCH=xen

RE: Compiling legacy LSI megaraid drivers (Linux 2.6.11)with xen 2.0.7?
Have you checked the compile time in the boot messages to see you''re
actually booting the kernel you think you are?
The compile warnings are nothing to do with Xen.

[OSSTest PATCH 0/2] MegaRAID SAS support and RebootTimeExtra documentation
Hi Ian-s,
Two small patches for OSSTest.
The first one turns on compiling the Linux modules for MegaRAID SAS, needed for
the ultralisk machine in the Cambridge lab. The second adds an entry in the
README file about the RebootTimeExtra host property, which I also needed to use
for ulttralisk, as scrubbing 368GB of RAM really takes a lot!

problem with paravirt part of series
I tried booting the paravirt patches on a real machine to see what would
happen. It had worked OK under qemu, so I thought it would be worth it.
It seems to boot OK, though perhaps fairly slowly, but once it hits
usermode it gets into trouble. When starting udevd, the startup script
runs MAKEDEV, which seems to get stuck in an infinite loop in
userspace. It eventually gets past that part

xen-3.0.4-rc1: undefined reference to `remove_siblinginfo''
Hello,
On my x86_64 box, when compiling the xen-3.0.4-rc1, if
CONFIG_HOTPLUG_CPU is not set it produces an undefined reference to
''remove_siblinginfo'' that is used in arch/x86_64/kernel/smpboot.c
drivers/built-in.o: In function `__cpu_up'':
(.text+0x54c10): undefined reference to `remove_siblinginfo''
If CONFIG_HOTPLUG_CPU is set the compilation works fine.
