[2.1.1p4] utmp related patches plus unresolved bugs description
Fixed: -- On systems such as SunOS4 where the system include files are no help in locating the utmp file (et al.), configure can define their location in CONF_*, but defines.h never used these. -- Might as well put in the usual location for SunOS4. -- In loginrec.c (utmp_write_direct), writing to the utmp file was not done correctly. Remaining: -- At logout, the utmp entry cannot be cleared since ttyslot cannot find the offset for the terminal s...

tdm2400p: fax detection not working
Hi, I cannot make my TDM2400P (with Echo Canceller module) detect faxes. I tried with a TDM400P and it worked at 80% (20% of faxes were lost). My test conf.files are: _zapata.conf_: context = inbound faxdetect = incoming language = it musiconhold = default signalling = fxs_ks callerid = "call_or_fax" channel => 1 extensions.conf: [inbound] exten => s,1,Answer exten => s,2,Playback(something) exten => s,3,HangUp exten => fax,1,NoOp(fax_detected) ext...

I have built latest Asterisk w/ OpenH323 channel driver. We have a SIP softphone registered to the Asterisk. We can place outbound calls from the SIP phone to the PSTN via OpenH323 connection to our gatekeeper. Everything works okay - DTMF and Audio... But in the reverse - if we call from a cellphone or landline the PSTN number we can get the SIP phone to ring - we answer and can hear the

wget and resulting filenames with mirror option
I am trying to mirror a directory using wget and the resulting files as expected are taking the name of the string in the url after the last "/". Anyone know a way around this? I am using the mirror option so I don't have to keep track of what to get making it simple. Thanks! jlc

help needed-call recording
Hi, I am trying to change the dialplan to enable call recording (incoming and outgoing calls) on the "click of a button". Is it possible? All the documentation I found so far, enable recording for 'all calls' to an extension. Does this code look ok? Currently Recording "on" only for 1030 when user presses *44, start recording. *55 to stop recording

When to restart samba
If I understand correctly, in order to have the smb.conf file applied you need to restart smbd. Is "service smbd reload" sufficient (which does a "killproc smbd -HUP")? Will this kill any active connections to samba resources causing user disruption? Or is this a seamless process that can be carried out midday? I ask because if I need to kill all user connections to
