UPS wiring question (electrical code)
In the US, our National Electrical Code requires (being a little fuzzy
as this is just setup to ask my real question):
grounding conductor (earthing conductor in UK, "green wire" in US)
bonded from the main ground system (more or less at the entrance
panel) to all exposed metal including case and ground bus of any
subpanels
a single bond from neutral ("grounded conductor", white in US) to
ground at the s...

Models within Modules
I have models within a module file and access them from my controller
with Module::Model syntax, but only get unitialized const errors. I even
tried require ''mymodule'', etc, no avail. The Prg
Google has ZERO help on this, and I can''t believe more people haven''t
run into this issue. What''s the deal?
Frustrated,
John

US telco lingo
Could someone explain to a non-US dummy the following phrases I have seen on
the list.
"I can provide you with tier 1 termination 6/6. I can blend or NPANXX
breakout."
"We provide US48 termination, blended rate for 1 MOU and above is .008 with
6/6."
What is 6/6?
What is US48?
What is blended?
What is MOU?
What is NPANXX breakout?

table sorting/manipulation library?
...clicking on the table headers.
If you want, add "multisort" to the table''s class, and you get the
equivalent of multiple "ORDER BY" arguments to an SQL statement.
Is there interest around in a library like this?

newby question
Hi,
I work with bio-conductor, but this is probably a basic R question.
I want to emulate the GOBPOFFSPRING$"GO:0008150" command:
> allBP <- GOBPOFFSPRING$"GO:0008150"
> class(allBP)
[1] "character"
> length(allBP)

(Classical) Request for Standardization of expanded TAGS
...ample that attempts to use
each one, then a more "normal" example, then a minimal example, and
what the result would look like when played by ogg123.
At first, I just meant for these tags to help out the Classical music
side of things. But I've been assured that (other than Opus
and Conductor) these tags are equally as useful in Pop music.
Although with Metallicas "Enter Sandman" you might even need the
CONDUCTOR tag, for the guy who conducted the cello players.

First, a few tags are now DEPRECATED:

Dynamic Rails
Has anyone out there ever created a Rails application to create new
Rails applications (with or without a database/persistent storage)??
Basically I am thinking of a Rails application that could create and
then edit the files associated with a new Rails application and possibly
provide the ability to edit controllers, views, etc. Is there anything
out there for doing this?

Is STP wire decent for analog phones?
I've got a run of Shielded Twisted Pair (4 conductors) which used to be
a Token Ring Network drop and I'm not using it anymore. Would it be
decent to replace the ends with normal analog phone connectors and use
it for a phone extension, or is STP unsuitable for that?
Thanks
Steve

Xen Cloud questions
I''m using Xen 3.4 on Debian Lenny, and a web interface (still in dev),
to have a eye on all the stuff.
I saw the Xen Cloud project, but I have some questions about it.
Can I summarize Xen Cloud like this : "latest" Xen Hypervisor with
"improved" API (OCaml replacing python and more stuff) which enhance
informations about all Xen hypervisors in same time, to provide a
