TDM400P in 2U server?
...erisk server, and would like to start with a TDM400P
card. I believe the TDM400P card would work in this server, with the PCI-X
configuration:
http://www.aberdeeninc.com/abcatg/MB1130.htm , which is the this:
http://supermicro.com/products/system/2U/6024/SYS-6024H-82R.cfm
Is this correct? I'm concerend about the height of the card, and whther it
will work in a PCI-X slot. Thanks for any help!

FAX Machine Testing ...
...y're happy with, but need to test FAX machines, so rather than
plug in a TDM card with FXS ports, I'm suggesting something like a PAP2T
device with 2 analogue ports registering to their asterisk box to use to
send test faxes from one fax machine to the other ...
So as far as asterisk is concerend, it's just 2 more SIP extensions and
I'll arrange re-invites, so data ought to stay inside the ATA (if
possible) rather then have asterisk handle the media (but even so, it's a
lightly loaded switched ethernet LAN)
Anyone see any issues with this, or suggest a better ATA than a PAP2...

File Sharing
I have a network with one Linux machine and samba 2.0.7 as well as two
windows 98 machines.
We use one hard disk on the Linux machine to share important project files.
Often we create new directories and here is the problem:
The one creating the directory has full access (of course) but the other
has not!
I put create mode 777 but that is not done.
The folder is /home/tmp but it is shared

Dovecot 2.0 in Active-Standby configuration
Hi,
I am planning to use Dovecot 2.0 as a Mail server for a Voicemail system.
There is not much traffic so I am not concerend about scaling. However
redudancy is an issue.
I need to have two Dovecot servers installed on two different farms and
setup HA between the two. I would prefer that the HA would be automatically.
I have two different storage machines with SAN, and I can setup Layer 2
between the two farms.
I am conc...

one for your filters
Some !@$#@@# in the Czech Republic used one of our SIP accounts to place
four thousand calls to what appears to be a toll number in Zimbabwe last
night. Filter 82.150.165.5.
A more overriding problem for me is how do we know what *destinations* to
filter so this idea of war dialing a toll number is something we can
cutoff before it gets to our upstream provider? Is there some collected

400 calls at g711 how much cpu power
We are planning to run an outbound only campaign. A 20-second voice message
will be played to callers and our dialer on machine1 will send to
machine2-asterisk (1.4) instructions to dial 400 calls, play the message and
hang up. This will be done for about 1 million phones.
The asterisk box will communicate via SIP to a voice carrier. the voice
carrier will then place the calls on pstn. The codec

Flash IDE
Hi
We have a number offices accommodating 4-6 people each hence it is very
important for PBX to be fanless and silent. We have been looking at using
IDE flash disks also called DOM. The performance tests we have done so far
satisfy our requirements, however we are concerned with DOM durability.
We have installed debian and vanilla asterisk on 1GB DOM. All seems to work
fine at the moment however
