BSD license for all to enjoy.
A few caveats:
* It reportedly only works on WinNT/Win2K. Win9x is being looked into at
this time.
* It is written in Perl/Tk, although all portability conceits were
abandoned fairly early on, and it currently makes quite a few
assumptions that only make sense under win32. It was subsequently

There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known. --Carl Sagan

Gentoo config file change
Hi all,
Would somebody be so kind to change the gentoo configuration files under /conf/gentoo/puppet?
The files still called puppetd.conf,puppetmasterd.conf and puppetca.conf.
Thanks in advance.

Perhaps the real question you should ask is..."should" anyone worry
about this at all?
Personally speaking, I've been streaming for quite a while (barring a
few networking problems) and I've always seen the same behavior from
the shoutcast (Nullsoft) people.

Installing a file only if a package is available
Hi,
is there a way to make sure a file is installed only if a certain
package is installed on the client?
e.g. I want to distribute the client key for NX via puppet. However I
only want to install these files if package ''freenx'' is installed on the
client.
I tried adding ''require => package["freenx"]'' but then puppetd complains

freeBSD User provider
Hello,
from the doc it seems that the User type has a provider of ''pw'' for
FreeBSD. It seems the provider does not allow dupelicate, does not
allow to manage the homedir and to manage password.
in the code the duplicate uid is set so it seems the doc is out of
date on this :)
- manage home directory, i don''t really understand what is that
parameter. The

services do not get restarted
Hello List,
We are using puppet to manage a growing number of Debian Etch based
servers (currently 70). Since upgrading to 0.22.4 we encountered
a problem when services do not restarted on puppets request.
For example the Nagios remote plugin executor daemon (nrpe). It''s running
daemonized and its confiugration is located in /etc/nagios/nrpe.cfg. This
file is managed through puppet
