Desktop Effects -- questions/issues
Hi!
I finally tried enabling the desktop effects yesterday. I'm using an old
Nvidia card (GeForce 4 MX440) with, of course, Nvidia's drivers. this is
on a fully updated Centos 5 system.
Enabling from the gnome menu doesn't exactly work compltely, one needs to
google around a bit to find out the remaining magic incantations to make
it fully work. So, I've done that and it's working.
Issues:
1. I notice that the text in the bar at the top of each window appears to be
a different font, and it is outlined in black. Is there any way...

Building Libtheora Beta 2 in Ms Visual C++ 2005 problems
Hi All,
I have been using a slightly modified version of libtheora (from about
a year ago) and since libthoera is now reached BETA 2 I thought it
would be time to update. My application worked fine with that version
of libtheora.
So now I am trying to build libtheora beta 2 in Ms Visual C++ 2005 and
I am having a few problems. When I try to compile it I get the error
below.

image.plot(x, col=MyCol, breaks=HeatBrk, legend.shrink=0.3)
dev.copy(device=pdf, file="HEAT4!.pdf", height=8, width=8)
dev.off()
There are a few things that I would like to do that I

Module error in mkinitrd
We are happily running xen on a server which uses a SATA driver (thank
you all you xenists for producing such a great product). However, we
are creating a custom kernel for a domU. When we attempt to run
mkinitrd we get:
No module ata_piix found for kernel 2.6.11.12-xenUIPSec, aborting.
This is the SATA driver. In the past (xen 2.0.5), we simply ran make
ARCH=xen menuconfig and told it to
