Wine does great job for GUI on screen (PC Oscilloscope) But, can't USB connect to external hardware device that has FTDI 245AM chip in it. See device in /dev/ttyUSB0. See device in lsusb, also in lsmod. Did normal linking, ln -s /dev/ttyUSB0 /.wine/dosdevices/com3. No luck. See the link with: ls -al of dosdevices. Dear friends, I am trying NUT standalone on XP. My UPS is on serial port COM3 How can I include the serial port info in the ups.conf file. Hi Folks, I'm trying to install Debian onto a headless server (Supermicro X8SIE-LN4F motherboard). The on-board IPMI BMC redirects the serial port to COM3, and I can talk to it just fine over a remote console connection. There are 4 ports on the board, 2 with DB9 connectors on the back and 2 on the board itself. By default, port numbering starts from the headless ones, so DB9s are com3 and com4. There is a special setting in BIOS which swaps headless ports with DB9s, making DB9s com1 and com2. I tried all combinations without any luck.
