the matrix of rows with specific row sums
I am just starting with R and have the following problem: given a matrix of ones and zeroes, say mdim=4 m<-matrix(round(runif(mdim^mdim)),mdim,mdim) how to construct the matrix of those rows of m, whose elements sum to 2. Contrary to the random matrix above, the actual matrix always has at least one such row. Serguei Kaniovski

RC1 & RC3 break PageMaker
PageMaker was running OK (except duplex printing wrong) on 0.9 wines. With RC1 & RC3 (didn't try RC2) PageMaker starts to open, cycles my scanner (???), and quits. I went back to 0.9.61-1 all is well again. Any thoughts? I did a reinstall of PM, but it had no effect.

SYSLINUX development is now in "git"
I have now migrated SYSLINUX development from CVS to "git". A clonable repository is available at: rsync://rsync.kernel.org/pub/scm/boot/syslinux/syslinux.git If you're doing any kind of development of syslinux, I recommend installing cogito and git and cloning this repository. It will both yours and my workflow a lot nicer. It will also let people see ongoing syslinux development sooner. -hpa

FW: Question about carraige-return/line feed
Hi, I have just installed Samba 1.9.16p11 on a SCO openserver 5 box. This works well, in fact its very fast. There is only one problem. When files are created on it from Windows 95 you get a ^M character at the end of each line. Is there a way of turning carraige-return linefeed back to just linefeed. (I'm assuming this is the problem). Thanks, Mark.

git problem
I'm trying to get the head source so I can try the patch Ram mentioned in his email but without success. I have not used git/cogito before. The output below is from a cygwin session but I get similar results on Ubuntu as well (a bit more of the html ending with 'as an object to pull'). So whatever is wrong is common to my cygwin and Ubuntu setup. Thanks, Andrew $ cg clone -s http://www.kernel.org/pub/scm/boot/sysli...

iaxtel and iax.conf
I have tried for over a month off and on to get iaxtel for inbound to work... and tonight after alot of troubleshooting we noticed this: iaxtel inbound will use the last entry in your iax.conf to auth against. So if [iaxtel] is at the top and say [voicepulse] at the bottom. An inbound call will try to auth against that [voicepulse] entry even with the [iaxtel] entry at the top of the file. Has
