Change winbindd UID mapping
Hi, I'm running Samba 3.6.6 on Ubuntu Quantal. I have a need to manually assign some of the UID mapping on a samba domain member file server. I have used tdbtool to add the correct mapping record to winbindd_idmap.tdb. However, I am at a loss as to how to force that change to "propagate" so as to show in the permissions structure of the file system and in the output of such

UserEngine - rake bootstrap aborted
...serEngine.config(:guest_role_name) } # old_edit # end (vendor/plugins/user_engine/app/controllers/user_controller.rb) It appears to have worked correctly and created the the default roles. Is this just depreciated code/bug, or will i run into problems later on? Cheers, -v -- keys: http://codex.net/gpg.asc You can never plan the future by the past. -- Edmund Burke

g729 codex experimentation
Yesterday, I started to experiment with Cisco to Cisco SIP calls using the g729 codec. According to the documentation, both the ATA-186 and 7960 are able to make use of the g729. >From an earlier e-mail, I made a change to the configuration of the ATA, changing the values: LBRCodec:3 RxCodec: 3 TxCodec: 3 The first thing I noticed was that when I did a sip show channels, the format had

Cisco 7960 Sounds patchy.
...My next question is the sound is patchy when people here me. But I can hear them just fine not patchy. I have the 188 page Admin manual and it seem not to say anything about improving the sound. All other phones like IPDialog work fine without the patchy sound. I have tried ulaw and alaw as the codex. Both sound the same! Is there any other settings that can be done. I remember that the X-lite has a transmit silence but I could not find this setting in there documentation. P.S. the Contract for the 7960 cost us $ 83.40 for each phone. This I feel is high.

Gallery2 under CentOS-5.3
...was available in any of the CentOS repositories, and it seemed that at that time it was not. However, there was some talk of putting it in epel or epel-testing. But I looked just now, and did not find it there. I actually installed gallery2 on my server by following the instructions at <http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery2:Preinstaller>. But I've had a slight http problem on the server which might be related to gallery2 (wireshark seemed to show some odd calls on gallery2); so I was wondering if there was yet an official CentOS implementation? -- Timothy Murphy e-mail: gayleard /at/...

Switch to Multi-Proc -> Choppy sound?
...ztdummy (manually for now in the asterisk startup script). When we run the same tests, we get garbled, choppy sound through even with exactly the same dialplan, sounds, etc. The load doesn't even register, and I can't imagine that it's a true performance issue. We have tried multiple codex (ulaw, alaw, speex, ilbc, everything 3CX supports) and have the same issues. Is there some step I'm missing when using a multi-proc machine? Thanks Bill PS: I have been trying to get this to post to the list for a while and am not getting it through... any help?

You have to make sure you use the same codex, bite rate and other parameter on you station ID. if you can get ezstream to change source, instead of having the server do it for you Station ID it would be a beter solution to the stream matching aspect of it. But we have problems with DJ switch overs sometimes, One will drop the stream then th...

ACM for FLAC.
...ven't heard anything here about it for a long time. Sorry, I sent my reply to engdev privately (because there's no good reply to). In short I haven't worked on it due to limitations on AVI and since then I've worked on MCF to get rid of these problems and be able to use good VBR codex. Hopefully when MCF is working I'll work on a UCI codec for FLAC (probably not an ACM).

Newbie question ... fallback mounts
Attached is my config file. The purpose is to interrupt my regular stream sith a station (stream) ID once per hour (time synchronized externally). I use ezstream to play the pre-recorded stream ID. I never hear the stream ID while listening to the stream. (There is a 10 second break in the stream once per hour) What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance. Mike -------------- next part

Would centos 7 backport this libnl3 header fix
...e4a3030a2c1169516358b4fba2e5 g++ fails to build against the headers in the default devel package at the moment so I am having to package my own. Sorting records from acts_as_taggable plugin
I am using the acts_as_taggable plugin, which works rather nicely by the way. My question is this: When using find_tagged_with, how do I sort the resultant data? It is currently sorting based on the "id" of the record. For instance, I have posts, with tags. If I want to find all posts tagged with "RubyOnRails" it displays them, but not in chronological order, they are
