Useful Info about Dell latitude E5510
...that using "LocalBoot -1 or 0" doesn't work well. What I did use for Latitude E5510 (Bios A06) was same to "LOCALBOOT on IBM x3850 X5" COM32 Chain.c32 Append hd0 0 Not "Append hd0" It works and boots to local disk without any problems. 'Traditional' Faxing
Hi all, the company I work for has an aging Digital PBX attached to an E1. This PBX has a few analogue lines, one of which we use a 'traditional' fax machine on. I want to upgrade our PBX and Asterisk is almost a perfect fit. The only problem I can't seem to find a working solution for is Faxing. I don't want to use Hylafax or other similar methodologies. I believe there

SAMBA 2.0.7
Dear Samba team: I just download SAMBA 2.0.7 from http://samba.gorski.net/samba/ftp/Binary_Packages/redhat/ and I have already installed SAMBA 2.0.6 which come with my red head linux 6.2 CD. But the 2.0.7 SAMBA is conflict with SAMBA 2.0.6. and it will not allow me to install the latest version of SAMBA. It gives me error messages while I am trying to install samba2.0.7 "Conflicts

Are you writing "imperative" or "declarative" scenarios in your stories?
...eel a lot better and seems to keep the salient points more prominent. Keeping the stories small, I think, is also more in line with the typical user stories in XP and other agile methodologies. (I would like to see someone stick the first example on a 3x5 card :). ) I did Use Cases (Alistair Cockburn style) on a project several years ago and I remember that revealing anything about the interface or implementation was a big no no. I realize that user stories != use cases so I''m trying to find a balance between UI based stories and more declarative stories that don''t reveal...

Residential router w/ QoS support?
Did anybody ever come across an affordable, residential cable/dsl router with support for QoS? The ones I've seen so far (Netgear, D-Link and W-Linx) do not seem to support it. I noticed that even email can damage a G.711 stream on an 128kbit uplink, leave alone file-sharing applications. I understand this is strictly related to *, but nevertheless of interest to many of us. Thilo

LVM2 snapshots and XEN = problem :(
Hello guys Does anyone use lvm2 backends for domU storages ? I do and I wanted to use lvm''s snapshot feature to make backups of domUs in background but I got the following problem. When I create a snapshot LV and copy data from it to backup storage it works perfect. Then I do umount and then lvremove. lvremove asks me if I really want to remove the volume and then just hangs forever.
