Cisco 12sp+ and 30VIP
I've searched high and lo and googled to I can't google no more... I knew that Cisco bought Selsius to get their VoIP solution but what I didn't know was that the 12sp+ is based upon an ITE-12 product that is apparently used at universities. I've taken two of the phones apart and started swapping parts and have looked up the IC's on the Internet... Anyway... After using

Global Variables Scope
...I would like either (a) that the global variables being defined in this section can be used from voicemail.conf or (b) that I can include the globalvars.conf in voicemail.conf and use the variables there also. So: (Bad example but just allow me...) globalvars.conf #MY INFORMATION MC_NAME=Mike Coakley MC_EXT=2100 MC_VM=2100@tech MC_QUEUE=techs MC_EMAIL=mcoakley @ ioumail.com MC_PAGER=yeahright @ spamyalater.com Then in extension.conf [globals] #include globalvars.conf [tech_stations] exten => 2100,1,Macro(std_extn,${MC_EXT}, ${MC_VM}) In voicemail.conf [tech] ${MC_VM}=1234,${MC_NAME},${M...

Polycom 550 IP SoundStation Fuzzy Voice Quality
I'm setting up a new Asterisk system on a Dell server and I'm getting "fuzzy" voice between the Polycom IP SoundStation 550 and the Asterisk server. I've checked all of my codec settings and both the Asterisk and the Polycom agree on u-Law encoding. I'm using the latest release of the Asterisk code (1.4.17) and other software. If I call between phones (i.e. two

summarizing a complex dataframe
I need some help summarizing complex data frames (small example below): m1_1 m2_1 m3_1 m1_2 m2_2 m3_2 i1 1 1 1 2 2 2 i1 2 1 1 2 2 2 i2 2 2 1 2 2 2 For an arbitrary number of columns (say m1 ?. m199) where the column names have variable patterns, and such that each set of columns is repeated (with potentially unique data) an

MPG123, Music On Hold and Variable Bit Rate
I swear I read somewhere at sometime a command line that someone put forth that used mpg123 and sox to normalize the MP3 for MoH to a constant bitrate, etc... Through my search again for this information I can't find it. Can someone tell me if I am crazy and if so... does anyone have an "off the top of their head" solution to getting the bitrate constant for MoH? Thanks, Mike

Zaptel CVS HEAD 08-05-2004 problems
I tried using CVS HEAD 08-05-2004 for zaptel/asterisk last night but I'm having problems with zaptel. The last CVS HEAD I was using was CVS HEAD 07-31-2004. (BTW... I'm a CVS moron... what command would I use to get back to that version of HEAD because like an idiot I forgot to make a backup copy of the CVS HEAD on my system before I install from the new CVS HEAD. I tried cvs co -D

FXO Problems
I have 2 Digium 4 port FXO cards in my system. The system is a P4 2.4Ghz, 512MB RAM, Promise FastTrax 100 TX2 Pro Raid, 80GB RAID1 for storage - whitebox - running RedHat 9. With pretty much any CVS HEAD version we are getting, what I will call, "phantom" calls on some lines. What I mean by a phantom call is that the line will ring, Asterisk will log that the Zap channel has been

convert count data to binary data
Is there a way to generate a new dataframe that produces x lines based on the contents of a column? for example: I would like to generate a new dataframe with 70 lines of data[1, 1:3], 67 lines of data[2, 1:3], 75lines of data[3,1:3] and so on up to numrow = sum(count). > data pop fam yesorno count 1 126 1 70 1 127 1 67 1 128 1 75 1 126 0 20 1 127
