Clutter-gtk 1.4.4
I have need to compile (from source) clutter-1.16.0 (seems to be fine)
and then clutter-gtk 1.4.4
on centos 6.4 (x86-64)
I am getting this error:

Question on CentOS 7.5 clutter-1.0 pkgconfig missing
Hello - I seem to be missing a pkgconfig clutter-1.0 file on C7.5
Doing yum provides "*/clutter-1.0" does not provide anything for
/usr/share/pkgconfig ?
Am I missing something ? how can I get the pkgconfig for clutter ?
My system has none even though I have all the clutter-devel packages
installed.
Thanks,
Jerry

swfdec and clutter
hi,
i started an experimental clutter-swf renderer project http://www.students.itu.edu.tr/~gumusuy/clutter-swf-0.1.0.tar.bz2
using swfdec-0.6
In fact this project is a part of bigger clutter media project.
For less dependency i configured swfdec by ./configure --prefix=/usr --disable-maintainer-mode --disable-gtk --disable-mad --disable-ffmpeg --disable-gstreamer --disable-vivified

Question on CentOS 7.5 clutter-1.0 pkgconfig missing
Thanks,

Ok. I did not have the ending .pc
so now yum provides "*/clutter-1.0.pc" gives me the same as you. And in
fact that file is on my machine under /usr/lib64/pkgconfig
however when I do "pkg-config clutter-1.0" it returns nothing.

Newbie question on url friendliness
If I wanted to use a friendly url, say, http://www.something.com/my-url,
how would I go about doing that? I can''t define an action my-url, and I
don''t want to clutter my routes up...
Is there a way to do this?

Minimize sshd log clutter/spam from unauthenticated connections
Dear OpenSSH developers,
a publicly accessible sshd on port 22 generates a lot of log clutter
from unauthenticated connections. For an exemplary host on a university
network, sshd accumulates 5~20k log lines on a single day (more than 90%
of the total amount of syslog lines). That is despite the host having a
restricted configuration (no SSH password authentication, firewall rate
limit for

How can I "declutter"/make a biplot less messy in R
I am doing a principle component analysis on a dataset with a lot of
different variables and have constructed a biplot of the data.
Unfortunately, as can be seen on the attached image, the biplot is very
messy, cluttered, and hard to read. I have performed a few modifications
including outlier removal from a few of the variables, which has made the
plot better, however it still is too cluttered

Audit
...t the audit VFS module was best suited for the task, but I
encountered some problems:
1. it does not clearly report which user did each action. Ok, it reports
the PID, which could _maybe_ be put in relation with the user by searching
in smbd logs, but it's uneasy.
2. It outputs lots of stuff, cluttering syslog. Ok, I can use syslog
config to filter user.notice events in a different file, but this does not
prevent syslog from becoming cluttered. Moreover, I tried this, and the
file where I redirected the output grew up to more than 200 MB in a couple
of days! :(
3. I'm now trying extd_audit, b...

Minimize sshd log clutter/spam from unauthenticated connections
modern syslog daemons (including rsyslog, which is default on just about every
linux system) allow you to filter efficiently on the message contents, not just
the severity, so you can opt to throw out the messages you don't want.
I advocate for a slightly different way of dealing with it, filter these
messages from your main logstream, but put them into either a script directly,
or a

Minimize sshd log clutter/spam from unauthenticated connections
To radically cut down on SSH log spam you can also hide it completely behind a firewall, and allow access only by some port knocking sequence.
I quite like having a process listen on port 53 and wait for a dns query containing a totp string to grant (temporary) access; that's a 2fa, and doing a "host 123456. my-ip" is easily automated in a shell script as well...
