Working cludge [Re: SSOAP fails with .types[[1]] : subscript out of bounds]
Hi,
so, last post from here unless I can provide any more input
to fix the upstream package.

ActiveRecord increment confusion
...#39;Could not update clicks''
redirect_to :action => ''list''
end
end
would do the trick. But I can''t get @link.increment to work. Instead
if @link.update_attribute(''clicks'', @link.clicks+1)
does the trick, but it''s a cludge.
I''m just learning Ruby and I''m still wrapping my head around the proper
use of attributes. I''m sure I''m making some stupid mistake with the
@link.increment line. If someone could point it out, I''d be grateful.

Fallback behaviour
...nk of one. Surely part of the point of
this functionality is to have a single mount that listeners can connect to.
Now I know I could set up a relay from one mount to another and put my
primary source on at the time the relay is set up, but this would seem like
a bit of overkill and also a bit of a cludge. And daisy-chaining fallbacks
would be made infinitely more difficult to set up.
Thoughts?
Geoff.

Cross Platform Mixers and LibAO
...e for ALSA, one for Solaris, etc. I'm curious if anyone could suggest the best way to implement a mixer
in a crossplatform manner that would best jive with libao. I've like
the player being simple yet still running on Solaris, Linux, and
FreeBSD without problems, I'd hate to cludge it up if I can avoid it.
At the moment I'm just using an OSS mixer, but am ready to re-write the
mixer code. Is it possibly that at some point in the future libao
might include mixer functions?
Any thoughts are appreciated.

freebsd ports provider
I''d like to clarify some points about the ports/package system in FreeBSD. I apoligize

Both packages and ports use the pkgdb system. This isn''t some lame cludge; it''s by design,
and the reason is really quite simple. Packages are built from the ports collection. The
only real difference between them is the mode of delivery.
When you run ''make install'' from a port in the tree, it fetches the distfiles, applies
whatever voodoo...

...asy way to send standard error to a file so you can
look at it; well not under command.com anyway.
Cygwin will let you do it and there might be a wrapper utility somewhere
on the simtel repository to do it as well; I think
it is in sysutils or textutils in the msdos section.
There might be a way to cludge around all this in Windows by using Perl and getting it
to flac -t a file at a time but I honestly think
cybwin would be easier.

Creating Multiple Child objects on a single form
I''ve been trying to solve this for the last few hours and I have

Goals also have multiple evaluations of those objectives through status
models.
So, I''m trying to create a form for doing the evaluations, which ideally...

Data matrix of all possible response patterns
I am looking for a way to generate a data matrix that contains all possible response patterns for 10 binary items. This should produce a matrix with 10 rows (representing 10 items) and 1024 columns (representing 2^10 possible response patterns). Does anyone know of code that would produce such a matrix?
Thanks!

Configuring SPA-3000 As A Trunk
We have just posted a review of the Sipura SPA-3000 with a complete setup
guide for using the device as a trunk to Asterisk. It is easy to setup and
works as good as any Zaptel setup and includes an ATA. It really is one cool
device!

Samba on Snap
Hi,
We have a snap server 4400 which is running Samba and which we have
successfully added to our Samba domain which is running on a Sun. However,
when we save a file on the Snap server, the unix owner/group are set
incorrectly to the values 20111 and 20002. A file saved on the Sun server
has the correct unix owner/group.
Consequently, the file save on the snap server cannot be edited at the

Opinion wanted: metadata in HTTP requests
I'm thinking it might be an interesting idea to pass ipappend-style
metadata (and quite possibly additional information, e.g. obtained from
DMI) when making a http request, but I'm not 100% sure about the best
way to do it.
Options are pretty much:
1. some kind of metavariables in either the configuration file or in
the filename syntax.
+ very general.

Docs strategy and tactics [RFC]

of a repo designated for production/publishing, one might be the
'official prelease drafts', the rest just get validation.
Right now, this is just an ansible playground living at

cludge together python modules to extend the buildbot BuildFactory class
so it's a proper redistributable thing instead of a massive master.cfg
. If it sounds interesting to you, I'm sure the effort could benefit
from the involvement of people with more expertise.

Okay not sure what is up here, any suggestions? BTW, this is the correct
module location and I
