Latest Nvidia drivers for linux has really nice speed boost. Most noticeable when gaming under Wine. When playing some latest games i had weird pauses at some effects. Now all of them are gone and the game I'm playing is almost smooth all the time =) For Ubuntu Deb packages i suggest this PPA for latest Nvidia Drivers. https://launchpad.net/~thefirstm/+archive/ppa

My problem: After some time playing WoW (about 1-2 minutes) the whole screen turns white. Everything else seems to work perfectly, I still have sound and I still can interact with my character. I can even open a terminal (blindfolded) and type 'killall WoW.exe' to quit WoW and make the white screen go away. wine --version outputs 'wine-1.1.37' I use the propiertary nVidia drivers

hey, when i run Counter-Strike : Source from steam using wine, it runs like it normally would on windows, then when it starts up, it shows me the css background, like when its loading the menu, then the screen goes black and the pointer (mouse) flickers.. any ideas?

Oi. So. Now we have a version of windows that actually has legit uses for wine. Windows 7 can't run horrifyingly outdated 16bit programs(Such as Exile Escape from the Pit) period. Hi, i updated recently to Ubuntu 9.04, first none of source games worked because of Pulseaudio, well i just got rid of that. Now CSS and others work like they did before (even faster in 9.04) but Garry's mod just crashes when joining.

Just compiled newest Wine, it is blazing fast!! And it fixed lots of things including all visual glitches (All i see currently) under Last Remnant. And the game does not seem to crash after playing while anymore! Thank you! It is disappointing game developers don't see the potential of Linux, so we are using the potential to get there what wont come to us. Thank you, one more time :P

Actually found out about this few days ago. But seems like it hasn't been reported (Or I haven't seen it reported) Thought I'd say it here. So yeah latest gnutls-2.12.2-1 breaks ssl computability. FFXIV's login client din't show the secured page. Also seems to affect league of legends when did quick google. Also iexplore won't connect to any secured sites of course.
