getting rid of hp c3180
...photosmart C3180 all-in-one and am well and truly sick of it.
It seems like every time I go on another printing binge,
I need yet another print cartridge.
hp-clean doesn't help.
IIRC this use it or lose it "feature" is common to inkjets.
What should I replace it with?
If I want a non-cloggging printer,
is laser jet the way I need to go?
I'd like to do color occasionally,
but might not want to pay the price for a color laser.

Fw: can't get to work windows player
...s from www.illiminable.com/ogg
Once you install them, media player and any directshow application will be able to play theora, vorbis speex and flac files.
Simple example code of how to use directshow from your native application can be found here... http://svn.xiph.org/trunk/oggdsf/src/tools/CLOgg/CLOgg.cpp
(Note the hardcoded filename, you'll have to change that to whatever you want to play) It says it's an audio player, but it will play video too. Very simple to do.
If you re .net inclined, there is a fully functional media player class here... http://svn.xiph.org/trunk/oggds...

Company needing an ogg/vorbis programmer for contract work.
Hi guys.
I hope this isn't too off-topic for this list...
I work for a company that is currently using ogg/vorbis in their audio
software product as one of several possible encodings. We want to add
some new functionality to the software that will require a little
specialist coding from someone who knows the ogg codebase.
Specifically, we need a library to provide vorbis file

getting started
I am giving serious consideration to abandoning waveOut multimedia and the wav format, for most of the audio in my C++/MFC project. However, I've never done any programming with a codec, and I still can't see how to step into Ogg Vorbis. If I convert all my wav files to ogg, there seem to be two major issues I'm facing:
1) What exactly will I replace my waveOut functions with?

I would go with inexpensive HP color laser printer. Laser printers can sit
for long time without use, without degrading, once you need it, it...

I faced the same issue some years ago, and found a low-priced mono
laser that lated me quite a few years. no color, but few thing I
wanted to...
