clog-log based heckit?
Dear R Help, I'm using the sampleSelection library to run a heckman model. The default is to use a probit model for the selection equation. I would like to know if it is possible to use a clog-log for the selection equation either with the sampleSelection library or in a different way. Is this possible? I'd appreciate any advice! -- Dan McDowell [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

[LLVMdev] JIT API example (fibonacci)
Hi LLVMers, the example attached I have used to prove that JIT and some visible optimizations are really invoked. Proved OK. I got 30% speed-up in comparison to gcc 3.3.3 on my Athlon XP 1500. Nice. P.S. guys, no fears, I don't plan to flood the cvs repository with my "brilliant" examples ;) --- Valery A.Khamenya -------------- next part -------------- An

DHCP logging settings
I find that libvirt clogs up syslog with trivial DHCP notifications. I know how to configure alternate logging with dnsmasq directly via 'log-facility' and/or 'quiet-dhcp' options but the XML format used by libvirt appears to have no equivalent options. Is there a way to reduce syslog spam from libvirt...

semaphore timeoit period expired (root is full)
...ng more). However, recently (about a month or two ago) it disconnects itself from my LAN with warnings like: semaphore timeout has expired. I go to the console on the box and it says that the disk is full (its not, but the root directory is at 101%) I cannot for the life of me figure out what is clogging the / dir. I deleted all mail and .pinerc from /root, and i got rid of the kernel.GENERIC, and i emptied the var/log dir. I still need to get rid of 500K. Anyone know why my / dir is filling up and where i can get some space? Is this part of samba or something else?

stack level too deep when parsing xml
...m I thought, But now, I can parse the xml once, but when I do it for a second time, I get the stack level too deep error. If I quit the server (mongrel) and restart it using the script/server call, something resets and lets me do the xml parsing once again. But only once. is something getting clogged up? Do I need to clear the stack level somehow? It''s not an infinite loop, just a long xml file. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on R...

XP Pro / Redhat / Samba Printer Suggestions
I am looking at buying a new home office printer and wondered what you all might suggest. My current printer is a very inexpensive Canon BubbleJet, and I find it clogs frequently, has very small ink tanks, and the Maintenance functions from my XP clients does not work with samba, requiring I switch the printer cable to an XP machine for maintenance. My config is this: - XP Professional workstations (printing via samba) - RedHat 8 Workstations (printing via lpd...

Problems of performance between linux and freebsd
...the data in dataframes, then loops to accomplish many repetitive mathematical calculations. Now running the test files in a console linux turns out to be roughly 20-25% fast er than freebsd. Particulary slow results the loop phase of the R source code that while running slows down and seems to clog in the end. The slowing down is also perceptible under linux but not at the same level. Admiring the "ordered and unitary layout" of freebsd, the logical way of setting it up, the richness of applications, I would like to line the freebsd installation up to the linux one, improving i...

subnet browsing crappy solution!
...em worked! As I have a network of more subnets linked through routers that communicate via the internet, I instructed all routers to send the netbios broadcast packets from their subnets to the linux server. Now all the computers show in the NN, without any difficulty in access. And the issue of clogging the net with broadcast packets isn't that grave, as they are small and transmited only from time to time.
