Thanks to all who offered advice on how to solve a loss of resolution problem involving ps from R, ps -> eps from Acrobat, and Word. It appears that this problem will need to be resolved inside R. If I try to add anything additional (more text, clipart embellishments) to a ps/eps file (using, say, Adobe Acrobat, PaintShop Pro, Powerpoint, or Adobe Illustrator), it gets placed as a separate layer in the finished file. Hello all! I have wine 1.3.24-0, Microsoft Office 2003 and Ubuntu 10.04. Printer - HP 1320n, driver - HPLIP. In Word and Excel I have an issue with printing any documents - all included (jpg or other, like logo's and clipart) images doesn't prints. On the printer I get pages with all text, but with blank areas on the place of this images. Hi. I'm trying to back up from an ext3 filesystem to an IOMega Rev USB cartridge drive, which uses a UDF filesystem. It appears to the system as /dev/scd0, but can be mounted in R/W mode. But when my scripts are ready, the PS file cannot be displayed because of an error in the middle of the graphic-data (so the offending offset gsview reports). As I tried out what it could be, I notice the scripts work fine with the cliparts (WMF?) Word wa shipped with. And a GIF or BMP in the middle of the text is no problem also. Using Samba v2.0.10 on a RedHat v7.1 box, I see that the Win98 clients on our network are making sporatic requests for user "nobody" (as shown below). Anyone know what's going on here?
