R GUI installation on Linux/SuSE 10.3
After a long sufferance I had succeeded in installing R GUI on my
Linux/SuSE system. It worked fine.
Unluckily a system upgrade patch messed up my monitor so I had to reinstall
SuSE 10.3 and every other application on top of it.
I have R running back with text interface. I tried to get the nice R GUI up
& running again. I followed all the steps to reinstall the R GUI but this

"Header is huge" in fts-solr
Hi, Timo and all!
I am trying to index mail in a test mailbox using fts_solr plugin for
full-text search. On most mailboxes, it works fine, but on some big
messages I get
warnings like the following, and then I get an Out of memory error from
Solr, then the indexer-worker process (or doveadm) crashes with "assertion
failed" error and the backtrace:

Using JRI and Java 1.6 on MAC OS X
Dear R-Help,
I am trying to get JRI (the rJava interface allowing Java to connect
to R) to work. I was able to run it a week ago when I was doing some
testing using Java 1.5. However, I am developing a GUI application
using some of the new Java 1.6 features and I just can't get JRI to
work with this setup.
Here is what I get:
Cannot find JRI native library!
Please make sure that the JRI

[rJava] RJavaClassLoader and system classloader
Hi everyone,
I want to call a Java application from R and have encountered some problems with the way rJava deals with the system class loader.
To run my application, I use the following R script:
> library(rJava)
> .jinit()
> .jaddClassPath("myApp.jar")
> rWrapper <- .jnew("org/test/RWrapper")
> .jcall(rWrapper,"V","start")

Hola, es la primera vez que mando un correo a cualquiera de las listas de
correo de R y no se si esta consulta se ajusta al próposito de la r-help

Linux/ARM: Segfault issue when we build clang sources including __thread variable using -O2 flag
A few days ago, I tried to change the optimization flag from -O0 to -O2 to
speed up the execution of the application on Ubuntu/ARM 14.04 32 bit.
When I compiled the source code with -O2 flag instead of -O0 flag, I could
not run the application normally by getting always the segmentation fault.
Here is debugging information with GDB command in case of that. As you can
see, we could not execute

[Fwd: GThread-ERROR **: GThread system may only be initialized once.]
I posted this to the Jitsi users mailing list on Thursday last and
have received no replies. Does anyone here have any idea of what is
causing this and how to fix it?
One other bit of information. When I first installed Jitsi it
initially worked for a non-privileged user as I ran it from the gnome
menu of my login account. However, at some point it seemed get
'confused' and hung.

I thought I'd like to try out JGR, but after installing the package (and
dependencies) I receive the following when I try to load it:

Note: On Mac OS X we strongly recommend using iplots from within JGR.
Proceed at your own risk as iplots cannot resolve potential ev.loop

R search applet initialization
R 1.5.1 is due to come out ... and I've just noticed that the R help.start
page search applet doesn't work on my Mandrake 8.2 system even though I've
upgraded mozilla to version 1.0 and I have a perfectly working java (all
right, I'm using 1.4.0 now, but with mozilla 0.98 and java 1.3.1 it still
didn't work). I had thought the problem due to a too-old mozilla version,
but it

ClassNotFoundException when running distributed job using rJava package
Hi,
I have a MapReduce Java code, which I am calling from R using rJava. I have
prepared the R package and tested that successfully. But when I deployed
the package in a cluster and executed it, I am getting
ClassNotFoundException. If I run the same job directly without integrating
with R, it runs perfectly.
Here is my R code:
library(rJava)
