Win {vista, 7} + Offline folders + samba + clamfs resulting in .tmp files.
Hi Guys
I am writing, hoping you could help me with this.
As the subject states, I have a Samba (3.4.7) server. On it I have
created 2 shares one that I access the files directly and the other
share I access the same files via clamfs (1.0.1).
Then I connect a Windows 7 machine to it. With offline files disabled,
I have no problems, however with offline files enabled I am getting a
lot of .tmp files when editing office files via the clamfs share.
I have done some reading and as far as I can tell this happens on the
save opera...

?Is it possible to use clamav with samba 4 (4.1.6) ?- e.g. vfs module.
Or is there another way to scan files on a share?

There are some vfs modules for samba 3.X but I can?t find one for samba 4.
?

Realtime virus scanning
Hi guys,
I just came across an interesting question. Is there a way to do
realtime virus scanning on samba 3.4.7 on ubuntu 10.04.
I have found "scannedonly [1]" and "vscan [2]", but neither of them is
in the repositories meaning we will have to package them our selfs
which will become administrative nightmare.
Right now I am looking into inotify + clamAV, but before I start
