eigenvalues of a circulant matrix
Hi,
It is my understanding that the eigenvectors of a circulant matrix are given as
follows:
1,omega,omega^2,....,omega^{p-1}
where the matrix has dimension given by p x p and omega is one of p complex
roots of unity. (See Bellman for an excellent discussion on this).
The matrix created by the attached row and obtained using the following
commands
indicates no imaginary parts for the

Quintum Tenor AX and Echo
Let's try this again.
I have a Quintum AX Tenor gateway sending calls to Asterisk from BT
analogue lines connected to FXO.
The agents hear an echo on their side but incoming callers hear the
conversation fine. I can't seem to find the problem. Anyone seen this
issue before?

Performance on GlusterFS
Hi....
I have setup a 4 node cluster on virtual servers on RHEL platform.
Not able to get better performance statistics on glusterFS as compared to local file system.
Kindly suggest a test run that can be checked to differentiate between them.

Dovecot HA/Resilience
Thank you Aki for the reply.
But I cannot disturb the version at present as it is a live server and
thousands of emails will circulate every hour.
Could you please suggest me how to create HA/resilience for the existing
environment. I have another server ready with the similar configuration.
Please provide any steps/link for me to proceed on this? It will be a great
help to me.
Thanks,
Kishore

another bizarre thing...
Hi all!
I'm stuck on something really bizarre that is happening to a product
I "own" at work. It's a C program, built on CentOS, runs on CentOs or
RHEL, has been in circulation since the early 00's, is in use at
hundreds of sites.
recently, at multiple customer sites it has started just going away.
no core file (yes, ulimit is configured), nothing in any of its

I have used the patch to build opus 1.1. Although I have not tried the
latest git master, will try that. Will that work for armv7, armv7s and
arm64?

centos Installation on Multiple machines
Hi,
I want to install customized centos on multiple systems. Can PXE boot do
that ?
Apart from this is there any other way of doing image copy of centos OS
and installing it on several client machines through network. I used
clonezilla, but after image cloning, i will again have to use the
clonezilla LIVE CD on client machine to do a image restore.
I want to make a clone of centos OS and

feedburner api xml
I''m trying to query feedburner''s api (as according to their

validate() in Design library
Hi, another question about validate() in Design library. The arugment "B" of this function is number of repetition for method="bootstrap", which is easy to understand; but for method="crossvalidation", B is the number of groups of omitted observations. This is confusing, I don't understand what it means. Let's say 5-fold cross validation, all samples are

eigen-decomposition of symmetric BCCB matrices
Hi,
Can anyone please point to how to decompose BCCB
(Block-Circulant-Circulant-Block) matrices? I am interested in the derivations:
I do know that this can be numerically done using 2-dimensional FFTs.
Many thanks and best wishes!

Asterisk Viruses?
The Skype network is circulating a virus that has appeared there
before:
http://www.informationweek.com/news/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=198500135 . The virus sends a URL to other Skype users in the infected user's contacts, which the target Skype displays as clickable. Clicking downloads the virus. Asterisk supports features like these, in combination with certain clients (which aren't
