...format supported by Asterisk (the .vox files) is 4-bit, 8 kHz. I need 4-bit, 6 kHz, which is also a widespread Dialogic format, to help migration. Is there an existing format/codec for this? I am projecting to migrate applications written with the Dialogic API to Asterisk. There are a few things that I do with Dialogic that I am still not sure are possible with Asterisk : - play a file from an offset (so a user can press a key to rewind 3 sec., pause, etc.) - dynamic volume control (the user can press a key to increase or decrease the volume) Thanks if anyone has a clue... I am currently testing a new Asterisk installation. The server has a T100P connected to a PRI, and about 50 Polycom IP600 phones connected via the local network. Every couple hours, Asterisk randomly stops responding to all calls, both incoming on the PRI and calls from the SIP phones. I'm not sure how or where to start debugging it.
