network mapping software
...#39;m looking for network mapping software that would walk the local subnet and using snmp/cdp/nmap & friends produce a picture of network connections for documentation purposes. I've seen some for wintendo, but haven't found any decent for linux and CentOS specifically. Something like cheops-ng.sf.net would fill my needs, but before I start a fight with 5+ years old code to get it compiled, I'd like to hear what you guys are using. -- Jure Pe?ar http://jure.pecar.org http://f5j.eu

Tripwire mess..
...ly the manner described by "CyberPsychotic" <fygrave@tigerteam.net> describes. Thanks for the patch. Very useful tool. I'm glad RH is including it with its powertools collection. More "security" utilities such as this should be included, including things like "cheops"... [mod: I'm getting conflicting reports "yes it shipped version X" "no it didn't, version X was shipped". Figure it out for yourself if you need to know. I'm no longer approving stuff in this yes/no debate. -- REW] Cheers Tony

I'm trying to setup a samba4 with openchange which uses postfix+dovecot+openldap on a ubuntu 12.04.2 system. I can send outgoing emails but incoming emails fail. I looked up the logs and I get: Mar 5 11:03:48 testerA dovecot: lda(sammy): Error: user sammy: Initialization failed: mail_location not set and autodetection failed: Mail storage autodetection failed with home=/var/mail Mar 5
