Quadratic function with interaction terms for the PLS fitting model?
Dear all,
I am using the pls package of R to perform partial least square on a set of
multivariate data. Instead of fitting a linear model, I want to fit my
data with a quadratic function with interaction terms. But I am not sure
how. I will use an example to illustrate my problem:
Following the example in the PLS manual:
## Read data
data(gasoline)
gasTrain <- gasoline[1:50,]

Domain Root Password
Think you should try this below
# smbpasswd -a root

Thanks but when I executed the command
#smbpasswd root
It says that it failed to find entry for user root.
I checked my directory using slapcat

Error while compliling
Hi, Please help me resolve this problem.
While compiling samba-1.9.18p8, I got this message:
cc: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 6
make: *** [smbpass.o] Error 1
I have re-edited the Makefile, and recompiled several times. Each time I
got the same error message, at exactly this same spot.
Is this a problem with my gcc compiler? which the message seems to
imply.
But I have

Looking for successful implementation of Samba + W2K3 AD
Dear Samba users,
I am desperate to know whether there is any successful implementation of
Samba 3.0.x as member server of Microsoft Windows 2003 server running
Active Directory.
I have in production the said architecture and it is giving me all sort of
connection problems to SAMBA shares during peak hours when users are
numbered as many as 500+ concurrently. When there are only few users,

I have recently installed samba-2.2.7-3.7.3.i386.rpm,samba-common-2.2.7-3.7.3.i386.rpm, samba-client-2.2.7-3.7.3.i386.rpm and samba-swat-2.2.7-3.7.3.i386.rpm.
After i installed all these, I start the SMB services and i enable swat, but when i tried to access SWAT from the browser, using : http://localhost:901 or http://127.0.0.1:901
it returns with " the document contain no data.

OCFS - NFS
Hi,
well i mounted the OCFS drive over nfs, but it seems to have problems
with it, because the NFS does not detect changes (if I add or delete files)
the nfs shares still shows the old status. If i delete a file on the OCFS
volume, and i am doing a "ls" on one of the nfs clients, it says for every
file which was on the ocfs, "no such file or directory". Did I miss

'modprobe -d ocfs'
What does 'modprobe -d ocfs' show? If it tells you 'symbols not found' it's
the RPMs incompatible with your kernel version. Ensure you have the correct
RPMs. Successful 'rpm -ivh' doesn't mean correct installation.
Should be:
[root@pc33 root]# modprobe -d ocfs
=============================================
Module ocfs
kname ocfs
objkey ocfs
names: ocfs
mode: NORMAL

cannot migrate vm back to original machine (currently with libvirt)
I posted the message below on the libvir-list with no replies, so
perhaps someone on this list has some experience with this issue.
Alternatively, if anyone has gotten remote migration to work with
Fedora and Xen, could you please send me the version numbers you are
using for each tool? I''ve tried Xen API with this setup previously,
but migration didn''t work at all.

DN Lookup
winbind is generating recursively the following message in log:
[2005/10/27 17:05:02, 3] nsswitch/winbindd_ads.c:dn_lookup(346)
ads: dn_lookup
Anyone has any clues why this is happening? Debug 10 shows a lot of
retries and I wonder whether this is part of the reason why server is
heavily loaded and responded so slowly with plenty of connection failures.

I wonder anyone has came across this problem I have facing. Currently
running 3.0.20b as member of W2K3 AD, I have a third party educational

Somehow, I find that CPU is running high in % with server slowing down and
winbind users not resolving properly to username from GID. I notice that a
