cheep laser printer recomendations
Hi!
I would like to hear what printers go good w/our operating system.
While back, I should have checked w/y'all like I'm doing now but I just
went ahead and bought a Konica-Minolta PagePro 1350W. Now that W at the
end of 1350 is a huge word that means WINDOWS! grrrr! It's a great
printer 21pgs/min etc but it doesn't like linux at all and their tech
spt will tell you as much. I

A Follow up to my fedora question: Favorite Flavor Of Linux?
...serve it
don''t ask)
Lighttp (for the other app)
FastCGI
MySQL 5
Production Web/App (combined for now)
Rails
Apache 2
Lighttp
FastCGI
Production DB
MySQL
My quesiton is what is everyones flavor of linux for production?
Personally I would prefer an Xserver but my boss is an admitted cheep
bastard. And since he is a cheep bastard linux is the route we are
going down.
Thanks

simple routing protocol for VPN redundancy?
...ed VPN''s between all of the sites for each IPcop on ispA and
the same for the IPCops on ispB. This way, if one of the ISP fails, I change
the route on the router and my VPN''s continue to function over the other
ISP.
This is a very simple saftey but it works well and its pretty cheep. But I''m
getting sick of changing the routes by hand and wonder if there is any way
of automating the failover.
What I was thinking of is maybe a script/utility that I could configure to
ping a host on a remote lan and if I started to loose to many packets or it
got too slow or faile...

Help with dialplan
I've got a Mobile-to-PBX gateway installed and I want the ability to dial
from my mobile phone into my PBX and next dial a land-line from the PBX so I
can make cheep mobile-to-land-line calls while on the go.
I've contemplated using the WaitExten application but it only seems to wait
for ONE digit! Is there a way to put the calling mobile phone into a context
and wait for a full-length extension?
Thanks!

Trip to FOSDEM from London
...aid to be the biggest gathering of Open Source
interested people in Europe and the speaker list is quite impressive.
We will be leaving London on Friday (5. Feb) evening and returning on
Sunday (7. Feb). One of our goals is it to keep the total cost for the
weekend under 200 Pounds, which is quite cheep for a weekend in
Brussels.
People who are interested can look at the wiki [1] or drop me a mail.
Everyone is welcome.
Cheers Didi

[LLVMdev] LLD: Layout-after and layout-before
...layout-before
edges from layout-after edges. This should be less error prone than
maintaining two reverse-directional edges throughout all passes. Of course
it will make time for dead stripping proportional to the number of all
atoms, rather than live ones. It looks traversing graph is surprisingly
cheep so I guess it wouldn't matter, but it needs investigation.
It's interesting that ELF no longer uses layout-before's. I agree that that
would be simpler than using both layout-after and layout-before.
I'll try to modify the dead-stripping pass as I described above. Any
concerns?

4+ Port FXS Analog Device
I'm looking for an inexpensive way to connect 20 analog phones to
asterisk. I could get a bunch of Linksys or Sipura boxes but was
wondering if there is a more cost effective way? I came across the
Mediatrix 1104 and even the Mediatrix 1124 but that comes out to be
almost $100/port. I might as well buy inexpensive IP phone. Does
anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Waldo

Bad .EXE file?
Hello!
I faced a very strange issue with wine. So I am trying to launch my beloved app that works under wine 99% good, but after upgrading to Ubuntu 11.10 I get this problem (extraction from terminal):
wine: Bad EXE format for H:\Desktop\Carrara 8.1
I get the same problem if I go to the 'hidden' wine folder and go to c drive and launch it from there.
any advice on this?
Thank you

Hi there!
I don't know if you are able to help me. Have tried almost everything
at this point..
I recently switched from a BlueWalker(Powerwalker?) PW UPS VI2000 LCD
2000VA offline UPS to a BlueWalker(Powerwalker?) PW UPS VFI 1500 LCD
1500VA Online UPS.
Seems like the driver is accepting both, however, the shutdown command
wont work. And this

Astricon costs...
Has anyone really looked at the costs for Astricon. But the hotel costs.
$111.00 USD per night.. come on guys give me a break. I will not be staying
at that hotel. I can rent a car and stay near the air port for almost half
that. In addition from what I have been told their will be no shuttle
service from the Airport to the hotel.
Anyone else have any input on this?

Such a nice codec! Soundcard recommendations?
Wow! Ogg is sounding _really_ fine these days. Waaaay past my
ability to tell from CD on my crappy sound card, even at pretty low
bitrates. Which leads to my question: there's a huge difference
between what my sound card puts out and what my CD player can do
(Rotel RCD-950 to Classe' Audio Twenty preamp to Acurus A80 amp to
Epos ES-12 speakers, in case anyone cares). If my computer is

Need help
...recording capibilites.
2. Any special software patchs to apply to the base source.
3. Any tips on setting up the config files. For the recording and blocking
numbers that do not have proper caller I like telemarketers. The blocking
should be done before the call is passed thur.
4. Need to go as cheep as posible but still have the needed capibilites.
5. I know nothing about telcom except that I pick up the phone, get a dial
tone, and dial.
If any of the above can or cannot be done please let me know of any
alternative, if it possible.
Thank you,
