masc and multicast
...te unicast. Of course, the multicast dynamic routing could be built in to the kernel, but that would still be kind of a daemon. A better alternative is like to use a firewall bridge, but I cannot use that currently in my CD based fw. Why all this hassle? My ISP uses multicast to transmitt a few TV channnels that is not included in my cable "PC-TV". My wife want something useful(?) from the setup. root@fw:~ # shorewall version 2.0.6 root@fw:~ # root@fw:~ # ip route show 255.255.255.255 dev eth1 scope link 83.227.190.128/25 dev eth0 proto kernel scope link src 83.227.190.245 192.168.1.0...

DTMF is being MUTED by asterisk to/from SIP channels from SIP or ZAP
...v11.0 SIP (T1 PRI/NT2) Asterisk HEAD or v1.0 makes no difference (I am using HEAD mostly) 12/10/04 and 01/17/05 (no difference) CAC ABII-T100P to/from analog lines to/from asterisk BTW, I have used a ABI and it works just like the ABII with asterisk. What I am seeing is: I make a call from a zap channnel via a CAC ABII -> T100p (zaptel driver from same date as asterisk.) The call goes through just fine. Lets say I call a PSTN phone. I answer the PSTN I can talk to/from the zap channel like normal. If I want to send DTMF from the ZAP to the PSTN asterisk mutes the DTMF tones even after connect....

Performance advantages of spool with 2x raidz2 vdev"s vs. Single vdev
Hi guys, I am about to reshape my data spool and am wondering what performance diff. I can expect from the new config. Vs. The old. The old config. Is a pool of a single vdev of 8 disks raidz2. The new pool config is 2vdev''s of 7 disk raidz2 in a single pool. I understand it should be better with higher io throughput....and better read/write rates...but interested to hear the science

In this senario ZAP-1 first answer ZAP-28 and thne ZAP-26 wants to call ZAP-1 but it time out and goto voicemail after that ZAP-1 try to reach ZAP-26 call by put...
