Chaning domain pass influences the certificates in IE
Hi,
We are using Samba 3.0.21a as with LDAP as PDC. User must change their
password every 30 days and the password history is 24 months.
Whenever users are forced to change their passwords, something strange
happens.
When users change their domain password, the private keys on all imported
IE certificates get lost, and the only solution is to once again import
the certificate into IE, or

Exe file size is chaning during runtime
Dear All,
We have observed the exe file size getting changed during run time
of the system in CentOS.
We are using CentOS 4.4 release.
We have taken "strings" of the original "exe" and changed "exe". Then we
compared the strings output of the two. The difference is given below.
We are not sure why this is happening. Can some one throw light on this.

Enventid 3224: Errors in chaning machine password.
Hi,
I got a problem using Samba 3.0.2a w Openldap as passwordstore. When my

following error:
Eventid: 3224 : stub contained bad data while trying to change the

(please relate to the eventid as the text has been partly translated
from norwegian)
What I am wondering about is the following:

Chaning shares using Computer Management with W2k3.
I'm trying to change permissions and add shares and remove shares etc.. on my
Samba-hosts shares (running 3.0.4 on Fedora, using the Computer
Management-tool on Windows Server 2003.
I have set security = ads on the samba host and I've joined the host to the

gpxelinux.0 Unable to locate configuration file while pxelinux.0 works
I have a situation very similar to whats in
http://www.syslinux.org/archives/2013-January/019251.html
The server is setup to provide info over dhcp+tftp and I'm planning on
chaning that to dhcp+http so I copied gpxelinux.0 to pxelinux.0 and
started failing.
The client (in my case it's a hp proliant BL460c G7) manage to get
gpxelinux.0 loaded but when it comes to load the config file it slowly
walks down the pxelinux.cfg/* files until it hits the end and give up.

Stuttering stream

THen I suggest you start to look elsewhere for your problem. libshout
is quite well tested and every time someone has thought it was skipping,
it turned out to be NTP chaning their clock or a slow harddrive or
something similar.
What kidn of files are you streaming? Have you ran them through
mp3check and mp3_check? Is load goign up when it starts skipping? How
about disk usage? Can you monitor bandwidth and make sure sporadic
spurts aren't the problem?
Is it b...

stats::line() does not produce correct Tukey line when n mod 6 is 2 or 3
...fr$time <= quantile(dfr$time, 1./3., type = i))
+ })
[1] 8 8 6 6 6 6 8 6 6
Only the default (type = 7) and the first two types give the result lines()
gives now. I think there is plenty of reasons to give why any of the other
6 types might be better suited in Tukey's method.
So to my mind, chaning the definition of line() to give sensible output
that is in accordance with the theory, does not imply any inconsistency
with the quantile definition in R. At least not with 6 out of the 9
different ones ;-)

[LLVMdev] Regarding CMake options for LLVM
...in
lib\Transforms\Instrumentation. (I don't think it's good idea to put this
option entirely)
(2) I'd like to change intermediate directories for all libraries and tools.
(The default is ***.dir) I tried to add some CMake options, but failed.
The aboves are easy on Visual Studio. But, chaning CMake (minimally) is hard
to do.
Thank you,

[LLVMdev] how to use external function?
Hi there,
It will be appreciated if you help me :
I need to call an external function in LLVM bitcode but don't know how :
;ModuleID = 'm1'
define i32 @main() {
entry:
%tmp0 = call i32 @MyOwnFunction()
ret i32 0
}
declare i32 @MyOwnFunction()
I use below codes to run it
$ llvm-as -f m1 -o m1.bc
$ lli 1.bc
(before it I have compiled MyOwnFunction module)

kvm & keypad on Centos 7.5
Everyone,
I have a lab computer I am using to test kvm. It was difficult to
install with NetworkManager running. After I turned nm off I got the
bridge to work and to stay in place. NetworkManager kept chaning
things.
I have several things I would like to learn and to tweak with KVM and
virtal machines.
The first small tweak is how to turn on the keypad on a keyboard. I
have tried two logitech keyboards and both fail to allow the use of the
keypad on the guest. On the host it works fine. I have a nv...

zlib plugin doesn't add "Z" flag to Maildir filename
I enabled zlib compression, so new mails are saved compressed.
Now I want to convert the old mails to gzip with the find and gzip
command, but now I don't know which files are already gzip compressed by
dovecot.
Shouldn't zlib_save itself add Z to the Maildir flags? As suggested in
the compress guide on http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Plugins/Zlib ?

Default $PATH of rsh (Was Re: What risk is X11Forward to a server?)
...I always need to
First I wouldn't say that HPUX was a good example of SysV, second
/usr/local/bin is certainly not ever placed in the PATH under Solaris
(which is an SysV derivative in some ways).
In Solaris you can change the default PATH by either updating one of
the shell init scripts or chaning PATH in /etc/default/login to do it
in a shell independant way.

Suggested changes to R-lang.texi and R-exts.texi
Dear all,
I would like to suggest the following changes to the R documentation:
1) R-exts.texi:
Having had my first experience with uploading a package to
ftp://cran.R-project.org/incoming/, I think it would be nice if the
documentation pointed out that one should use ftp and not sftp (at
least on my machine sftp failed to make a connection) and that one
should log in as user

Status of frequency scaling
Hi!
I would like to know the status of the frequency scaling in XEN. I found
a web site saying that XEN doesn’t work with frequency scaling, at the
other hand I found some fixes for powernow-k8 to get rid of some
messages.
I have an AMD64. powerno-k8 works find with non-XEN kernels, but with
XEN-kernels I get the error:
powernow-k8: Found 1 AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3400+ processors

fallback mount points?
Each MountPoint has a different URL, but in the ways that I have
described, you don't use it like that. You can have 2 or 3 MountPoints
but, one you can just serve as a fallback for all 3 of them. Let's take
this example for a few seconds. Say for example, if you had,
"http://yourdomain.com:8000/mount1" that will just serve as the listener
MountPoint. "/mount2"

[3.0, LDAP] smbpasswd fails in adding new accounts
Hello,
I recently switched an environment from Samba 2.x to 3.0 without any
major problems. LDAP database was converted and everything worked fine,
_including_ chaning passwords with smbpasswd.
However, I now had to create a new account, which failed. I created an
LDAP entry first, because I use LDAP for Unix-Authentification as well.
Afterwards, I wanted to add the Samba-specific attributes (some unneeded
output skipped - please ask for it, if it _could_ be rel...

converting from courier questions
...address = '%u'
This almost worked but as i was watching the logs it was looking for
/var/spool/postfix/virtuals/<somedomainname>/Maildir//Maildir
In courier the "Maildir" is not implied, it has to be spicified in the
database. I have a LOT of users and would love to avoid chaning every
line in my database. or add another filed just for dovecot. I would also
like the ability to switch back and forth for testing with courier..
Is there anyway that this can be done?
Thanks in advance,
Aaron
