Hello everybody, I've got a 56k usb modem, lsusb says: Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0572:130 Conexant Systems (Rockwell), Inc. I'd like to let it work with Asterisk. I think that I should use chan_modem and/or chan_modem_bestdata, but I found little or no documentation. Can anybody please post some instructions? I see many posts about using ISDN cards and modem cards. Does this mean I can use a regular modem (that supports voice) as an FXS, or FXO ? If so, can you provide an example. Oh geez nobody respond, I guess I have to be more descriptive. I'm install Asterisk and FXO FXS Lite dev kit from Digium everything has installed and I am getting an error message that my sound card is not enabled. I'm using a Dell Optix (whatever). Everything seems to be in order. I connect an analogue telephone to the FXO port? and try to dial. Dial tones work however not dial tone.
