chan_dahdi under bristuff 0.4.0-RC11 not building under Linux 10.04.2 LTS
...generic-pae kernel.
The prereq.sh script executes without complaints (BTW on my system,
libncurses-dev evaluates to libncurses5-dev and libz-dev evaluates to
zlib1g-dev).
With the asterisk 1.4.41 package that is installed, a make menuselect
operation indicates that all dependencies are met as the chan_dahdi entry
allows me to insert a * instead of the XXX for unmet dependencies. However,
a compilation attempt fails and results in the following error:

Disable connected line updates for dahdi PRI channel
...from being sent to a
PRI channel?
I'm having problems when a call is answered by an internal SIP
extension, then transferred (blind or attended) to another internal SIP
extension. One of my PRI providers can't handle the ROSE_ETSI_EctInform
APDU and drops the call.
Looking through the chan_dahdi and sig_pri code, I don't see any
configuration flag to block the updates from going through. I was even
hoping I could set __CONNECTED_LINE_CALLER_SEND_MACRO to something
bogus, but it looks like if the macro fails to execute in any way, the
code will just go ahead and update the connected...

dahdi-channels.conf -v- chan_dahdi.conf
Some recent issues I had with hardware seem to come back to not
understanding two very similarly named files:
/etc/asterisk/dahdi-channels.conf
/etc/asterisk/chan_dahdi.conf
I've modified the chan_dahdi.conf to work now, but it would appear all I
needed to do was include dahdi-channels.conf in chan_dahdi.conf and the
problem would not have persisted? Is it me or is that a bit Monty
Python?

CallerID inconsistently presented through ISDN/cellular networks
Hi,
I'm facing a strange problem.
My setup is:
Alice cellphone <--GSM--><--ISDN--> Asterisk <-- ISDN --><--GSM--> Bob

When Alice calls Asterisk which forwards the incoming call to Bob, sometimes
Bob sees Alice's number, sometimes he sees a default CallerID (which happens
to match the dialed number and the ANI).
For various reasons, Bob really needs to

1. First of all, it seems /dev/dahdi content was previously (ie in Lenny)
owned by asterisk:asterisk (asterisk is run as asterisk).
Now it is owned by root.
Any clue about this ?
2. Secondly, I changed /dev/dahdi content ownership by hand. Then when I'm
trying to load chan_dahdi, I can read :
