nls and na/Nan/Inf error
I am trying to it a particular nonlinear model common in Soil Science to moisture release data from soil. I have written the function as shown below according to the logist example in Ch8 of Pinheiro & Bates. I am getting the following error (R version 2.1.1) *Error in qr(attr(rhs, "gradient")) : NA/NaN/Inf in foreign function call (arg 1)* Below is the function and data. /# the van genuchten moisture release function vanGen <- function(x, Vr, Vm, alpha, lamda...

LLVM Kaleidoscope : Compiling to Object Code - Segmentation Fault
Hi all :) I'm new to llvm! I'm going through the kaleidoscope : compiling llvm IR to object code tutorial, code in the listings breaks and causes a segmentation fault. After some investigation through gdb, probably this constructor call, causing the segfault. |Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.|| ||0x00000000004afee0 in

Samba-tool modify users info?
Hello, I'm wondering if there's a plan for including the possibility of modifying user attributes (must-change-at_next-login, profile-path, home-drive, home-directory, etc)? For the moment, it seems the only way to do this is when the user is created (samba-tool newuser) or by doing so via 'administrative tools' via a Windows machine. Thank You! -- Luc Lalonde, analyste

python scripting samba
Can someone point me to some documentation on scripting samba user and group management from python? I'd much rather not do this via calls out to samba-tool, and if I could do this remotely (via LDAP like calls) I'd be even happier. Cheers, Geoff

bind slave sync takes long
Hi, I do have two DNS servers running bind 9.7.3. One master, one slave. If I add/update a record on the master, it takes up to more or less 20 hours until that change is transferred to the slave. That is a long time for me :-) May be I got some settings wrong which would sync much faster ... ? What could be wrong? What might I check? Thanks for any suggestion and hint! Regards . G?tz --

SeBackupPrivilege
We're using Samba 3.0.21a-1 on a CentOS 4.2 server (kernel 2.6.9-22.0.2.ELsmp); everything works more or less fine, it's functioning as the PDC with an OpenLDAP back end (setup essentially straight from the Idealx.org playbook), etc. We're trying to mount Windows shares to back them up, and getting "permission denied" errors when trying to read certain files from those
