rsync over ssh performance problem in cygwin
...t time, when directory on Linux is empty, all looks OK- syncronization takes about 10 minites. But when we try to do this second time, i.e. with files on Linux and windows, synconization takes more than 10 minites for _file_ ! And, ssh process on windows eats about 90% of cpu :-( Any ideas? btw, certanly, linux-linux works ok in the same situation.

Hello!
Hi, I'm a student studing for Math. & Infor. Ing. in Tirana,Albania and a have a final project in R to finish in a week, so I badly need your help... The topic of the project is "Hermite Interpolation" and a I have allready done a script that finds the approximation in a certan point x, H(x) ~f(x) but i want to find the value of his derivative H'(x)~f'(x) as well and to do this I need the polynomial form of H(x)=a1*x^(2n+1) + a2*x^(2n) + ... + an but R requires x to be a value not a declared variable. Then I want to find the derivative of this polynomial and evalu...

Routing packets over multiple links (NICS) all on the same ISP all with same gateway.
Ok ive been trying to get this to work for about half a year now. Ive searched all over the internet for a solution for my problem. Ive found some solutions, but they only led me to yet more problems. What we want to do is the following: I live in a student complex with 7 other people. xexec and dovecot 1.1
I'll test very interesting plugin xexec. It seems very nice and can be used in many things. It's compiled perfect with dovecot 1.0, but certanly not with dovecot 1.1. It's stopped with next error: In file included from cmd-xexec.c:30: xexec.h:8: error: expected specifier-qualifier-list before 'array_t' cmd-xexec.c: In function 'cmd_xexec': cmd-xexec.c:134: error: 'array_t' undeclared (first use in this functio...

[RFC PATCH v3 0/3] Enable virtio_net to act as a backup for a passthru device
...ou are apparently re-implemeting part of bonding driver as a part of NIC driver. Bond and team drivers are mature solutions, well tested, broadly used, with lots of issues resolved in the past. What you try to introduce is a weird shortcut that already has couple of issues as you mentioned and will certanly have many more. Also, I'm pretty sure that in future, someone comes up with ideas like multiple VFs, LACP and similar bonding things. What is the reason for this abomination? According to: https://marc.info/?l=linux-virtualization&m=151189725224231&w=2 The reason is quite weak. User...

[R] Increasing number of observations worsen the regression model
Yes, it is important that it only happens with certan BLAS, so probably not really an R issue. However, there has been some concern over the C/Fortran interfaces lately, so if you could narrow it down to a specific BLAS routine, it could prove useful for the developers. One fairly easy thing to do would be to find the breakdown point. I speculate th...

Netlogon Long username
I just upgraded a server from an older version of samba to the newer 2.2.2. When I login from a win 98 machine with a username longer than 8 characters I get an error that Z:usern~93.bat could not be found. This is only a problem with 2.2.2. Is this a know issue, or did I miss a config option? Do I need to supply more information to help track this issue down? Thanks for the help.

So i would expect that the prediction for the return would be different. but i certanly dont know which is. I would apreciate if you could help with this. err0rs while attaching devices to dom0
Hi All, I want to create a domU file system by copying necessary stuff from Dom0. However, I encountered an error. I first create a block device for DomU: " # mknod /dev/xvda1 b 202 0" Then I want to temporarily attach this device to dom0 in order to copy the file system of dom0, so I used a command "# xm block-attach 0 duncan.img /dev/xvda1 w 0". However, I got an error
