FileNotFoundException en RWeka
Saludos colegas. Estoy intentando cargar un archivo arff con el paquete
RWeka pero me lanza el error FileNotFoundException cuando intento
ejecutar la instrucción en R. Este es el código:
datos<- read.arff(system.file("arff","cereals.arff", package = "RWeka"))
El archivo cereals.arff y el script con el código R están en el mismo
directorio, sin embargo, no me carga los datos desde el arff.
Utilizo Debian testing.
¿Alguna idea de que me está faltando?
Saludos.

Labeling matrix data
Hello all -
I am sorry if this simple question is addressed in somewhere else. But, I couldn't find it. It's been for about a week using R. . .
My problem is:
Reading matrix data with "scan" does not seem to allow me to incorporate matrix labels (columns, and rows).
If I use read.table, I can import the lables. But, the problem is, I don't know how I make this data as

Factor Analysis Biplot

analysis. I presume it is because the values in factor 2 for Milk and NUTS
are not displayed in the component loadings.
Loadings:
Factor1 Factor2
RedMeat 0.561 -0.112
WhiteMeat 0.593 -0.432
Eggs 0.839 -0.195
Milk 0.679

Cereals -0.902 -0.267
Starch 0.542 0.253
Nuts -0.760

It has no problem doing a normal plot using

But when I ask for a biplot I get

Random software that no one has, and is not in the appdb.
I have a bunch of children's games and other random software that came in
cereal boxes :). Obviously 80% of these programs aren't even in the appdb,
and half of them don't work for one reason or another. For the symptoms
that each show when being run under wine; what can I search for to see if
it's a known bug (tm) or has a workaround or if I can just expect them to

New to this. Trying to install a dos game
Hi there, I'm new to using wine and am currently having some issues installing my first dos game using linux mint.
I will probably use dosbox to play it but need wine for its windows installer.
If you must know the game is Chex Quest. It's a game about intergalactic cereal. (Chex cereal)
The problem that i have encountered is although the installer opens and works fine, there are video

roaming profiles will not load at times...Samba as PDC
Hi everyone. I am running samba version 2.2.4-1 and using samba as a PDC
for about 30 windows 2000 machines.
I set it up and it works at times, (users can log in to different
machines and there settings appear the same),
however, sometimes for no apparent reason the following error messages
appears on windows when
a user logs on....

Java-1.4.2 not installing - video issues.
I took another pass at trying to install this, and failed again with
video issues.
I have Fedora 5 and a nvidia MX-440 video card (To the uninitiated
that's the sort they give away in breakfast cereal boxes - quite old 4x

This time, I ran as windows 2000, ran under winedbg to slow things
slightly. So I uninstalled fedora's highly cooked current video drivers,

bcmxcp: get right firmware version
at least for an HP R3000XR with the 6-cereal card, the first CPU is
said 6-port card, not the inverter. so get the firmware version from
the last CPU, not the first.
I wonder wether it makes more sense to store them all, aka
ups.firmware.cpu0 etc.

Hitman: Blood Money won't start (Fixes for some errors here)
Hi, I am trying to get Hitman Blood Money working on my Ubuntu 9.04 computer.
Here are my specs though they are most likely irrelevant:
Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope: no modifications to the kernel or Xorg or anything.
AMD Sempron 3100+: Worked fine in Windows, works fine now.
1GB DDR Ram: Single stick, memtested and passed.
ATi Radeon 3650 HD (1gb): Rare version of the 3600 series. Works fine in

Port forwarding feature suggestion: bind to port 0
...e the string representation of the socket, with no further text).
The exact same should be done with remote port forwarding.
I guess this would be a trivial change for anyone with any OpenSSH hacking,
but if the list would accept this feature and no one would like to jot it
while munching morning cereals or something, I'll be happy to code it and
submit a diff.

Re: Question on Belkin UPS
Dear Ashley,
I have no personal experience with the Tower-Rack series, but someone
reported on the Nut-upsuser mailing list on 29 Nov 2005 that these
models work with the "belkin" driver of the NUT software
(http://www.networkupstools.org/). This is for the serial port. For
USB, the NUT "newhidups" driver should work (or if it does not, we can
fix it).
The software that

clipping off words inside a vector of strings

I have a vector of strings (class character) with 6 elements (length

"John Cleese"
"Terry Gilliam"
"Eric Idle"
"Terry Jones"
"Michael Palin"
And I want to turn it into another vector of strings called
'shortnames' with the same length.
The new vector should look like:

Samba Print Problem (Everything Looks Right)
I'm trying to get Samba to print with CUPS and the universal postscript
driver. I've followed the HOWTO at
http://us4.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/CUPS-printing.html

machine to automatically install the driver when I double-click on the
printer after browsing the share.

ZFS Compression algorithms - Project Proposal
Bellow, follows a proposal for a new opensolaris project. Of course,
this is open to change since I just wrote down some ideas I had months
ago, while researching the topic as a graduate student in Computer
Science, and since I''m not an opensolaris/ZFS expert at all. I would
really appreciate any suggestion or comments.
