HELP: Dose G.729 with IPP only worked on Intel CPU?
Hi, ALL:
I install IPP(l_ipp_ia32_itanium_p_4_1_2.tar) and download the speech codeing
(l_ipp-sample-speech-coding_p_4.1.008.tgz) then patch it (g729-041103.diff).
My CPU is Centaur VIA Nehemiah with 998.715 MHz processor not INTEL CPU.
I choose PIII as its CPU type when I modify Makefile under "G729-float".

[PATCH] i386: mark cpu cache functions as __cpuinit
Mark i386-specific cpu cache functions as __cpuinit. They are all
only called from arch/i386/common.c:display_cache_info() that already is
marked as __cpuinit.

panic: ffs_valloc: dup alloc
I get the above panic after nfs clients attach to this nfs server and
being read/write ops on it after an unclean shutdown. I've fsck'ed the
fs, and it marks it as clean, but I get this every time. It's an NFS
share of a GEOM stripe (about 2TB).
mode = 0100600, inum = 58456203, fs = /mnt
panic: ffs_valloc: dup alloc
I do have dumps from two crashes so far.

Centos 6 2.6.32-696.18.7.el6.x86_64 does not boot in Xen PV mode
Problems start before any of the kaiser code executes, though it could still be related to CONFIG_KAISER since that has effects beyond kaiser.c.

Common Sense dude - The Intel IPPs work only for Intel CPUs.
Remove the codec_g729.so file from /usr/lib/asterisk/modules folder and
restart asterisk
Check if it is working by starting as under:
UnixPrompt# asterisk -cvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvf
Once this loads correctly use 'Stop now' and restart with command

Xen Cloud Platform 1.1 restart unexpectedly
Dear xen-users,
I''m using Xen Cloud platform 1.1 with cloudstack. I have this
situation, not sure if it''s a bug or intended behavior.
I''ve setup 2 servers: A hosts NFS server, B is installed XCP 1.1. I''ve
mounted NFS shared directory from A to B, to make a SR for virtual
guest disk image. (which in cloudstack, is called primary storage).
But when I stop the

multihost master.passwd sync
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions about syncing up master.passwd
files between multiple machines that didn't involve allowing root login
remotely? The users need to be able to log in remotely and own files on the
different machines.

Kernel panic in pin_pagetable_pfn
Hi Xen developers,
We are hitting a DomU Linux kernel panic and we''d like to find a solution for it.
We are porting our virtual appliance to Amazon''s AWS. Our kernel is 2.6.27.57. We know it is old but we have to stay with it for now. The problem is when the kernel (64-bit) boots up in EC2 ( a large instance with 7.5 GB memory), the kernel crashes when hitting the BUG in

choppy audio playback
Oh, wise Centaurs,
On the last install (Suse) I was running on this old notebook (Dell

players (like you get at NPR and other sites) and youtube played just
fine. But with this current install (CentOS 5.3, fully updated) all of
those sources just m...

I can confirm the issue with 2.6.32-696.18.7.el6.x86_64, but mine looks
alittle different... Maybe because i'm using pvgrub.

i915 DRM enabled in X.org log but not in glxinfo
Hi,
Just to say that this report may well seem a little sparse, but I
really don't know what exactly to look for so if anybody needs extra
information just shout and I will get it for you ASAP.
When I check the X.org log file, it says direct rendering: enabled on
my graphics device (it attaches its i810 driver to the kernel's i915
DRM device). This would appear to me to suggest that

[PATCH] Clean up x86 control register and MSR macros (corrected)
This patch is based on Rusty's recent cleanup of the EFLAGS-related
macros; it extends the same kind of cleanup to control registers and
MSRs.
It also unifies these between i386 and x86-64; at least with regards
to MSRs, the two had definitely gotten out of sync.
