DRBD,GFS2 and GNBD without all clustered cman stuff
...of nodes. Using GFS2 as FS for concurrent usage.
I got to format the GFS2 FS on the Server 1 drbd0 device. But was unable to
mount it because gfs_controld wasn't accepting connections, i discovered
that cman manage gfs_controld. In any case i started it manually and
discover that it try to use ccsd daemon which i have not installed.
Ok, i do not need to mount it locally so i started configuring GNBD, started
manualli the server end stated the export command...again the cman/ccsd
problem:
gnbd_clusterd: ERROR cannot join cman
Now, what i'm asking: am i forced to use all the cluster stuf...

xen-testing and redhat-cluster devel
...xen on two-node redhat cluster (CVS devel version), using lvm
as storage backend.
redhat cluster is used to synchronize LVM metadata (using clvmd) and as
storage
for domain configs and dom-U kernels (with gfs).
Latest version of redhat cluster works with xen-2.0.4, but not with
xen-2.0-testing.
ccsd failed to start on 2.0-testing. Anyone knows what the problem is?
I assume most feature on 2.0-testing will eventually moved to 2.0-stable?
I''m satisfied with the current confuration, and I was hoping that future
versions
of xen and redhat cluster will be able to coexist together.

RHCS on CentOS4 - 2 node cluster problem
...became active. That happened already last year and due
to holidays the customer didn't recognize it. The cluster is just a
failover for Apache and has no shared storage space.
Customer now saw the situation, tried to fix it by rebooting node 1,
which then failed to come back up. As service ccsd started but couldn't
get full cluster information the followup service cman hangs forever -
bootup hangs in this state. Omitting cluster service starts at boot time
by being selective (boot parameter confirm) brings up the box.
ccsd starts up (by service or by hand and with parameter -n), b...

winbind can see some groups but not others
...ding a v3.0.21a samba and winbindd server to a MsAD domain and
configuring nsswitch.conf to find passwd and group info from winbind.
This seems to have worked out fine, except that I can't 'see' or
'recognize' certain groups via getent or via wbinfo -g.
E.g. I can see the 'ccsd-staff' group via getent and wbinfo -g, but i
don't see the 'ccsd-dept-www' group via either.
Within the MsAD domain of concern, those two groups are basically the
same, except the one that getent finds is in ou=people,dc=msoe,dc=edu
and the one that it doesn't find is in ou=uni...

Where is clustat
I thought I've installed the clustering tools, but when I attempt to run
clustat, it says it doesn't exist. When I installed the suite, I ran:
yum install -y GFS GFS-kernel-smp magma-plugins fence dlm dlm-kernel-smp
gulm cman cman-kernel-smp
CCSD is running and when I "cat /proc/cluster/nodes", I see my three
nodes.
Does anyone see the package that I missed for clustat?
Thanks,
Todd

Problems with csgfs after update
Hi all,
Today I have update Centos cluster suite and my test cluster does not
startup. When ccsd service tries to start returns this error:
[root at srvimss1 lib]# ccsd
Failed to connect to cluster manager.
Hint: Magma plugins are not in the right spot.
When I run magma_tools config plugindir returns me this setup: /lib/magma.
This directory does not exists.
How can I fix this problem???...

Cannot Start CLVMD on second node of cluster
Hi,
I'm trying to configure Red Hat GFS but have problems starting CLVMD on
the second node of a 3-nodes cluster. I can start ccsd, cman, and fenced
successfully, and clvmd on any other nodes first time.

winbind nss info = sfu is not so much working
with samba 3.0.22, I'm trying to integrate a linux box with Microsoft AD
by using winbind for authentication as well as for the source of nss info.
When winbind is configured to use its own local id maps, everything
works fine.
But when i configure winbind to use 'ad' as the source of nss info,
authentication fails, 'getent' commands return no results, and

Asterisk and SNMP. No resource graphs in OpenNMS.
I apologize as I am quite new to working with SNMP. I have compiled the SNMP module for Asterisk, configured snmpd, and successfully added the nodes to OpenNMS for a couple of my systems running on Ubuntu Server 10.04 LTS. I am able to see the site
information and the resource graphs such as DAHDI, SIP, etc.
The problem I am having is that I follow the same exact process on Ubuntu Server 12.04

setvar from chan_dahdi.conf
Would someone be able to give an example of a working use of setvar from chan_dahdi.conf? I am trying to create a custom variable like I use in sip.conf but I have been completely unsuccessful getting any variable set using setvar to appear for a DAHDI
channel. I am running 1.8.11-cert8 and am using the newer format (but I have tried using the older [channels] format). Here is an example:

Only silence trying to play streaming MOH
I am having trouble getting streaming MOH to work. As far as I can tell I have everything configured properly but there is only silence. Your help is appreciated. I am running Asterisk 1.8.11-cert10 with mpg123 1.12.1 to play the stream (I have tried
madplay, and mpg321, and I compiled streamplayer as well with the same results). I started by finding a working stream and tested this from the shell

Get CONNECTEDLINE info from other Asterisk system via IAX2

when calling extensions on another Asterisk system. I seem to be able to 'send' all the information I want to the system I am calling but

Cannot get Digium Phones back into service after changing sip device name.
During testing with the Digium phones I have run into a problem where I try to make a change to the sip device name. I make the device name change in sip.conf then make the matching change to the lines in res_digium_phone.conf. I then do 'sip reload' and
'module reload res_digium_phone.so'. I then end up with phones that I cannot bring into service no matter what I have tried. They
