I have wine 20040716 on a debian installation. The sound is working for normal applications e.g KsCD to play CD's. Presently I have three windows based programs running with wine. FreeCell, IrfanView and CClient. The later is a Chess Client to play chess over the Internet. All three programs operate properly, but CClient needs a sound feedback when a piece is moved.
