Any ideas other then upgrading our unix and then our Samba package? This isn't an option. While we do sync our /etc/passwd whenever /etc/smbpasswd is changed via the Samba sync option that does not seem to be possible the other way round: I just want a /etc/smbpasswd generated from my /etc/passwd with the correct passwords as used for the UniX login... I have Samba 1.9.18p10 running on linux 2.0.35. It's being used largely as a file server for student email, netscape bookmarks, Word papers, etc. from Win95 clients.
