Hi, I've been having similar experiences and haven't been able to substantially improve the efficiency using the guidance in the I/O Manual. Could anyone advise on how to improve the following scan()? Hi, I'm running R 2.4.1 on Fedora Core 6 and am unable to install the tseries package. I've resolved a few problems getting to this point, by running a yum update, installing the gcc-gfortran dependency, but now I'm stuck. I don't want to decompose the 'trend' component so I thought I should call decompose(x,filter=0).
