Syntax for address range
...only the address 192.168.150.20 and the
range of addresses from 192.169.150.100 to 192.168.150.150 in zone dmz0 to
connect to two terminal servers in the local zone.
Is there a syntax that can specify a range of addresses in the rules file? Do
I have to enter each one separately?

Downgrade from 3 to 2 suggestions
...resort there is to try
a downgrade to samba 2.X
In the past samba has always 'just worked' so I have no experience at
tuning the samba version to the kernel version. The system I need to
downgrade is 2.6.11. Any advice which version of samba will work on
that kernel version?

Samba and BackupExec
Hi,
I've got Samba 2.0.2 and a server NT4 SP3 with Seagate BackupExec 7.0.
When I want to backup Samba with Seagate BackupExec, I get a message
saying "Unable to connect to server, <F5> to retry", and then another
one saying "A device specific error occured".
I've read all the Samba archive about that subject, but I do not find
any solution.

Problem with outgoing Masquerade
...n
1448 <nop,nop,timestamp 427961295 645676491>
Instead of replacing the 192.168.124.18 with 65.223.121.227, I get a source
address of 209.189.103.196. Is this the correct behavior? If so how do I
get the source address on outgoing packets NAT''ed to 65.223.121.227?

...on smb.conf to 10 (wheel on
Linux, staff on Soalris) and changing the permissions to 660. Since only
admins have wheel as their primary group, this restricts access to people
who have root access anyway. I will have to change my sudo strategy but
that's OK. Keeps me employed :-)

DNS, DNAT and Notifies
...owing to rules but the masquerade rule was applied
anyway.
DNAT loc net:12.47.198.108 udp 53 - 172.16.10.241
DNAT loc net:12.47.198.108 tcp 53 - 172.16.10.241
There has to be a way to get the outgoing DNS traffic to appear on
12.47.198.108 but I''m just not seeing it.

Replacing Windows account with local account.
OK, I'm stumped.
I have a Samba server (v3.0.20a) with security=DOMAIN and using winbind
to authenticate non-local users against a W2K domain controller. This
setup happily serves out home directories and about six other shares.
I need to add a local UNIX account for a formerly Windows only user.
When I try useradd I get: user <username> exists. This makes sense
becasue of winbind.

Dom0 versus DomU and sata DVD drives
...'s to see it? I tried the obvious
disk = [ ''file:/xen/xp/carthagexp,hda,w'', ''/dev/cdrom,hdc:cdrom,r'' ]
for an XP install with no luck. I''ve also tied /dev/sdc0, /dev/dvd,
and /dev/sdc with no success. The drive does show up in Dom0.

OpenVPN forwarding?
I am looking at terminating a OpenVPN tunnel on my shorewall box, but
selectivly forward incoming traffic from the VPN tunnel to various hosts
on my LOC-zone. Is this doable? Or need I set up OpenVPN tunnels that
terminates on the LOC-hosts in question directly?
(Or rather: Which page on the web site have I neglected to read _this_
time?)
Happy new year to one and all!

I had the same problem after upgrading to 2.2.7. You have to add:
use client driver = yes
Either globally or for the individual printer share.
Read the section on the above in the man...
