I think you have to define a topology of the domain, using ADSS:
https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/canitpro/2015/03/03/step-by-step-setting-up-active-directory-sites-subnets-site-links/
defining links and weight.

3. I created the new site (the old one still is Default-First-Site-Name;
I left it untouched - did not rename it or provide an explicit subnet)
and moved over the DC (with RSAT, following this link):

As James advised (if I understood him correctly), I did NOT apply any
changes to DNS structure reflecting this new site.
4. I updated the first DNS server entry on some machines manually, and

Samba4 multiple DCs replication
Hello
I am actually trying to build a multi sites domain.
Each additionnal DC has been setup and I would like to hava a custom
replication setup.
In other words, how can i choose replication target on a fresh new DC?
I would like to force my sites DCs to replicate from master DCs at our
office.
Is it possible?
Thanks
Julien

What a lot of work you didn't need to do, 'samba-tool domain demote
--remove-other-dead-server=samba4bkp' would have done it for you ;-)
