candisc() error message
Hi, I am doing canonical discriminant analysis using candisc function from the candisc package. My input is a table of species distribution (columns = abundance of each species in each sample) in samples that are split by categories (rows), and I want to know whether each category is associated with a particular set of species and their abundances. I have 20 rows (samples) split into 6

[kvm-devel] [PATCH 0/2][KVM] guest time accounting
...ser time. > [copying Ingo and Rusty] The patches look good. A couple of comments: - perhaps the new fields should be guarded by a #ifdef CONFIG_HYPERVISOR (selected by CONFIG_KVM)? that way the (minor) additional overhead is only incurred if it can possibly be used. I imagine that our canine cousin will want to use this as well. - I think that there is per-task accounting of user time and system time; that should be extended as well. -- error compiling committee.c: too many arguments to function

modestly priced laptop for C7
...RAM or SSD? and battery, too, when that time comes. 'cause I'd want to do like you and definitely upgrade it right away, cause that 2gig RAM and abysmal 32G storage is pathetic. and I'm going to guess that 1.6 Ghz processor is similar to the 1.6b Ghz Atom I now have, but hopefully less canine-like. I'd be interested in the 14 inch model except it has the same wimpy specs. so, again how much hassle (and cost) is involved in upgrading like you did? thanks again! > _______________________________________________ > CentOS mailing list > CentOS at centos.org > https://li...

Mongrel 0.3.13.2 -- RailsConf 2006 Release
Hello folks, Another release going out based on the very limited work done at RailsConf. Despite all the fun and the talks I did manage to squeeze in some more defensive maneuvers for everyone''s favorite canine ninja, and sit down with Why and Rick Olsen to hook up the mongrel_upload_progress plugin. They quickly working to get Rails and Camping gear to do nice upload progress notifiers. This release sports the following additions: * Mongrel now defends against file starvation better by killing off a...

New to Wine, Install Problem
...plication in question in the Application Database. I'm hoping the problem is something simple and that perhaps a Wine guru on the list can point me in the right direction. I don't have Windoze installed on any of my boxes. Unfortunately I now find myself needing to run a Windoze app. The canine agility club I'm in wants me to take care of the computer related duties for our upcoming agility trials. The software that all the "Trial Secretaries" use is Agility Unscrambled. It's web site is: http://www.AgilityUnscrambled.com I've been able to get through an install...

applying strsplit to a whole column
I am sorry, I'd like to split my column ("names") such that all the beginning of a string ("X..") is gone and only the rest of the text is left. x<-data.frame(names=c("X..aba","X..abb","X..abc","X..abd")) x$names<-as.character(x$names) (x) str(x) Can't figure out how to apply strsplit in this situation - without using a

Time To Pick the Mongrel BUGS Mascot!
Bradley Taylor shot me this *goldmine* of ugly ugly ugly dogs: http://www.sonoma-marinfair.org/uglydogvote.shtml I *have* to use one of these for the Mongrel BUGS Mascot. He''ll go on our bug list page and replace the little beetles on the left. Pick the dog you think best represents a lovable but defective pooch and reply to this with your +1. Let the voting begin! -- Zed A. Shaw

SIP Asterisk Hacked (1.6.0.6)
Hi all I have been hacked but no idea how!!! I noticed somebody in Eastern Europe came from an American IP and tried to call loads of international numbers. Thankfully I had no credit with my VOIP out provider so the calls went nowhere. But if I had credit it would all have been used up. I noticed hundreds of calls being made from clid and src being either UNKNOWN or as ASTERISK. Here are a

Too many login generators?
there is a blog about it http://www.realityforge.org/articles/2005/11/12/aaa_in_rails There are so many Authentication/Authorization/Auditing generators now, just like the situation in java''s world, Too many components doing the samething just make me confusion. Why not add one to rails core lib and everybody can extend it for their requirement ? -- Posted via

Via 4610 RAID chipset on ASUS P4P800 under CentOS 4.1
Has anyone had any success getting this chipset's ATA RAID controller to appear under CentOS 4.1? If so, can they break it down for me in easy to understand steps? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
