Most of the time, if I plug a USB drive into my computer, gnome/centos/whatever will ask me what I want to do with it. With a Hitachi Lifestudio, all the partitions mount without asking me. How do I stop that behavior? My suspicion is that the same kind of mechanism is what makes candy drops work. This box has a nvidia 6600 series card, and I've isntalled the Nvidia drivers (download from nvidia and run their installer). I have Oddsock loaded and it will not complete the connecto to the server. I have been trying it in MP3 first before I move to Ogg to be sure I am understanding all I need to know. I'm running Mandriva 2007 and like the eye candy of of the 3d desktop but wine is more important to me. Whenever I start with with the 3d desktop turned on though any 3d games I have will either crash or report that I don't have a 3d card.
