rpc trust gives NT_STATUS_INVALID_HANDLE with 3.0.11
When I try to establish a trust from SAMBA 3.0.11 to Windows 2003 I get the error: NT_STATUS_INVALID_HANDLE. I have no problem the other way. I had no problem either, when I ran SAMBA 3.0.9, and the problem disappeared when I down-graded to 3.0.9. Here is what happens ('CALYPSO' is the Windows-server and 'KONTOR' is its domain-name): [root@linux /root]# net rpc trustdom establish kontor Password: Could not connect to server CALYPSO [2005/02/16 17:20:27, 0] rpc_client/cli_pipe.c:rpc_api_pipe(435) cli_pipe: return critical error. Vorbis Beta 2 MSVC Files
The .dsp and .dsw files included I obtained as a part of the vorbis source, via CVS, are not recognized by Visual Studio as valid workspace/project files. Should I be getting these files from another place or can someone clue me in on how else to build vorbis on a windows platform? best way to ensure (yum) package repository freshness ?
Hello, I have run into problems in the past where a package has been added to our yum repository, and a (new) class has been pushed to install that package, but puppet fails because the yum db on the target machine is too stale, and thus isn''t aware of the existence of the new package. My question is this : what have other Puppet admins done in order to ensure that a target machine

Managing Pear and Pecl packages in Puppet
Hi all, I''m using the pear/pecl package providers from http://www.mit.edu/~marthag/puppet/ and I''ve run into a memory limit problem. I''ve tried hacking the script so that it passes additional options to pecl/pear, however these just error out about not being valid options (even though they are!). I''m now at a point where the following stanza gives the

Even the "Simplest Puppet Install Recipe" apparently isn't simple enough
I''ve tried this over and over, and I just cannot get it to work. I''m trying to do a proof of concept on puppet, so I''m using two CentOS 5.3 systems running in VMs on separate hardware (i.e. the two VMs are not on the same physical box). I''ve built the systems from scratch numerous times, and then pulled down puppet from the rpmforge repo. In the course of

The problem is that it just hangs - no errors, no network activity. I can see puppet is running, but nothing it being updated. Running puppet as non-root => getting rid of all those ownership warnings
I''m using puppet to manage configs on machines where I don''t have root access. Whenever I use a File resource where the source is a puppet:// resource, I get tons of warnings when I run puppet that look like: Cannot manage ownership unless running as root True enough, I''m not running as root, but I also didn''t specifically mention a "owner"
