How do boot a xen domu into run level 1
Hi, I have a C5.8 machine with several DomU's. I fubared the fstab on one of them and I need to get it into single user mode. Does anyone know how to do that? I tried adding single to the extras line in /etc/xen/machine_name but it still tries to start in level 3. To make things worse, the root partition is on LVM. Alternatively, does anyone know how to access the image from DomU? I tried

Multiple incremental DVD backup program?
I'm running C5.8 and want to backup a directory that is 6GB in size. Is there any Linux program for Centos to make this backup over 2 x 4.4GB DVD+R disks please? Something with a GUI like K3b would do nicely. Kind Regards, Keith ----------------------------------------------------------- Websites: http://www.karsites.net http://www.php-debuggers.net

3.2 kernel with C5? Or ndiswrapper?
I know, I know... don't use the non-standard kernels unless you have to... BUT: I have a D-Link N150 USB card. Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0846:9030 NetGear, Inc. WNA1100 Wireless-N 150 [Atheros AR9271] This isn't supported in C5, but it is supported in newer kernels (ath9k_htc). So let's try NDISwrapper: # rpm -i kmod\-ndiswrapper\-1.56\-1.el5.elrepo.i686.rpm

Installing Java 7 on a system with Java 6
My system is 5.6, with upgrades. I installed Java 6 from the Centos repository. It doesn't seem to have Java 7. I need the development package. How can I install Java 7 development safely? I imagine I will first have to uninstall Java 6. Thanks, John -- John J. Boyer; President, Chief Software Developer Abilitiessoft, Inc. http://www.abilitiessoft.com Madison, Wisconsin USA Developing
