elasticsearch connection refused
Hallo, is anyone here using elasticsearch on centos? I tried several configs to configure external access but nothing is working. My tests: telnet localhost or 127.0.0.1 9200 works local on the machine telnet 192.168.242.4 9200 connection refused local on the machine. So it is clear that access from other systems can not work. Is there perhaps something special to consider when using centos 7?

Rails association and multiple indexes
Hi! If I have two models, Product and Manufacturer, of course Product belongs_to :manufacturer. A search engine would allow a user to look for a product by its name or manufacturer. Is it better to define a method like: def searchable_field "#{name} #{manufacturer.name}" end and add it as indexable field (acts_as_ferret :fields =>

Two Subnets on routed to the other, Setup?
Hi there, I''ve read Routing on One Interface, and Shorewall and Aliased Interfaces docs but I''m a little confused, and all my test attempts have mostly failed. Here is my setup: CentOS 4.2 ShoreWall 3.0.2 My server has a subnet 192.168.50.0/29 routed to it via 192.168.1.2. Currently 192.168.1.2 is setup on eth0. With no ShoreWall involved routing seems to work if I just setup
