How do I configure additional serial ports?
I have installed two 4-port serial cards (http://www.startech.com/
Product/ItemDetail.aspx?productid=PCI4S550&c=US) on a CentOS 4.4
system. The hardware appears to be recognized correctly, as kudzu
added 2 entries to /etc/sysconfig/hwconf and lscpi shows both cards
(output of lspci -vv for both cards included at the end of this email):

KVM Linux Guest Resolution only 1024x768
Dear All,
I'm trying to install a Debian Wheezy KVM guest on a CentOS 6.4 Host.
The only resolutions supported are 1024x768 or 800x600.
I increased the video RAM to 500 MB, but the guest still says:
[ 10.321] (II) CIRRUS(0): Not using default mode "1920x1200"
(insufficient memory for mode)
Only 32 MB are recognized:

BeroNet HFC-4S card is now detected as only 2 ports
Hello list,
After upgrading from BRIstuff 1y-b to 1y-e my ISDN card is suddently
detected as 2 ports instead of 4.
I still load the driver as "modprobe qozap ports=12" as I've always
done. But now it only sees 2 ports.

Will Xen support PCI add-on card for serial ports?
hi,
It looks that Xen currently only support ISA serial port, which is onboard.
Is there any plan to support the PCI serial port?
Thanks,
Neo

Sound card problem
I came into an Abit AX8 motherboard and single core AMD Athlon 64 FX. I
did a quick install of CentOS 5.0 on it to make sure everything worked
and then returned the hard disk and case to the original owner. After
getting a new case and hard disk, I downloaded the CentOS 5.1 cd images
and installed. For some reason the motherboard's on board sound no
longer works (worked with CentOS

3.0.2-testing: pci_set_dma_mask, pci_set_consistent_dma_mask(pci, 0x0fffffff) returns < 0 (ICE1712)
Hi all,
I''m currently running on Ubuntu Dapper and xen 3.0 testing. I noticed my
sound card didnt work.
I looked in dmesg and found this:
Apr 9 17:49:29 phoenix kernel: [ 27.490852] architecture does not
support 28bit PCI busmaster DMA
Grepping the kernel I came up with this, from sound/pci/ice1712/ice1712.c:
/* check, if we can restrict PCI DMA transfers to 28 bits */

Re: passthrough of PCI-device
Hi Pierre,
thanks for your reply.
I am using kernel 3.10.0-123.8.1.el7.x86_64.
The kernel modul used after nodedev-detach is vfio-pci
This is the output of lspci -vv after I did a virsh nodedev-detatch pci_0000_02_00_0

Re: passthrough of PCI-device
Good morning,
there is a typo in my description;
the line
<address domain='0x0' bus='0x1' slot='0x00' function='0x0'/>
should be
<address domain='0x0' bus='0x2' slot='0x00' function='0x0'/>
That was correct in my xml-file.
Isn't there anybody how can help me with that?

TDM400P and Junghanns QuadBRI issue
Hi List,
I'm setting up a system with one TDM400P (2*FXO + 2 * FXS) and one Junghanns QuadBRI
on a Fedora Core 6 (Kernel 2.6.20-1.2944.fc6).
I'm using the bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1y-e kit. It download zaptel-1.2.16, libpri-1.2.4
and asterisk-1.2.17
When it's the time for ztcfg to do its job it complains with
<ZT_SPANCONFIG failed on span 2: No such device or address (6)>

Hi everyone.
We have a problem here... Hope somebody can give us some hints.
We have a HP ProLiant DL180 G6 Server with a Debian/Lenny sytem.
Asterisk 1.4.21.2 (1.4.21.2~dfsg-3+lenny1) with zaptel (1.4.11) and
libpri (1.4.3) is installed.
There is a QuadBRI-Card installed:

Problem with mISDN and HFC-Cards in Asterisk-DomU
Hello,
I am having problems, getting my asterisk-domU to work properly. It consists
of the following components:
- Debian Etch under Xen-3.1 with a 2.6.18-kernel
- Asterisk 1.2.24
- mISDN-1.1.5
I have 2 HFC-ISDN-cards, which I pass through to the Asterisk-DomU in
permissive mode. This is working fine.
The strange problem is, that the two HFC-ISDN-cards are not beeing initialized

[PATCH] drm/nouveau/bl: Fix oops on driver unbind
...for PCI-
enumerated GPUs, invokes the bus shutdown hook pci_device_shutdown().
This in turn would normally invoke ->shutdown in nouveau_drm_pci_driver,
but we haven't defined it. So the only thing that happens is that
pci_device_shutdown() runtime resumes the device and optionally turns
off busmastering if a kexec kernel is going to be loaded.
So that's mostly fine, the only silly thing is that we shouldn't
runtime resume the GPU if it's runtime suspended, only to turn off
power immediately afterwards. I submitted a patch to the PCI
subsystem a while ago but it was received with some...

Subject: Re: Where can i get the g.723 codec?
...ople seems to address this issue pretty often. One card may be
equipped with dsp's to handle
488 simultanoeus sessions in any mix of supported codecs(incl. G.723.1
and G729..).
I whish that I had the time to make the 'glue logic' thats needed to
connect the
* codes api with Mapletree busmastering codecs channels.
P.S. I am NOT a Mapletree salesperson.
-The makers of hardphones prolly get their G72x licensing by using a DSP
-that already has a license. The DSP can't be that expensive. I wish
-someone would make a PCI card with something like 8 of these chips on it
-and sell it cheap....
