...ar on the same workgroup. I think it is something to do with which machine is doing what. I think machine1 is acting as Domain Controller & Master Browser for workgroup1 and Machine2 is loosing all the browse elections. Any ideas. I will send the smb.conf files if it would be any help. Hi all. I found the 'remote announce' option for smb.conf, but I'm not sure this is what I want to use. I think my circumstances are quite odd. I currently have 1.9.18 running on a sparc, serving my PC, on the same network, at work. My Linux box at home I use to dial into my machine. So the PPP interface has the same netwokr as the boxes at work. My Linux box also has 10mbs
