dovecot and firstname.initial.lastname mbox format archive
hi Today I have been in a puzzling fight with 2 dovecot versions that I would like to ask some comments on. The situation is this: - I have a considerable mail archive in mbox format (yes, I know, but that is what I have..). - My mail reader is mutt 1.5.20 by the way. - Some of these mbox files have names like firstname.initial.lastname Note the . seperating the parts of the email-ers name.

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc (pre-release and svn sources) fails to compile on Solaris10/SPARC
...-release fails again. I have listed below my machine config and the > errors reported by make in each case. afair solaris always had a special gcc build procedure. I can confirm, however, that sometime between 2.4 and 2.5 I built cross llvm-gcc for sparc-elf (with newlib) and at least it was bult successfully. In any case, result of codegen is not fully ABI-compliant. > ../../llvm-gcc-4.2/gcc/llvm-convert.cpp:4387: error: > 'getIntrinsicForGCCBuiltin' is not a member of 'llvm::Intrinsic' That's something strange. Are you sure you didn't mixed sources from...

SETFEATURES SET TRANSFER MODE semaphore timeout on FreeBSD 6.0 RELEASE
Hi I have a newly installed FreeBSD 6.0 release machine on which I am getting the following error on the console: "ad4: req=0xc23bc258 SETFEATURES SET TRANSFER MODE semaphore timeout !! DANGER Will Robinson !!" This is generally associated with heightened disk activity, but it happens inevitably after a while (minutes or hours) if the machine is running. The atacontrol list shows:

ip alias + dsl modem
Hi Guys, Just wondering for some reason when I switched providers(DSL) IP aliasing stopped working. And, I am not sure what kind of modem this is, the previous one had some Ethernet ports at the back(it has a bult-in 4 port switch) the new doesn''t have one, only a single Ethernet port and It is directly connected to my Linux box. My provider gave me a /24 subnet and 9 useable IP''s. # ip a s eth2 6: eth2: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast qlen 1000 link/ether 00:...

[Bug 30975] New: A Question about the linux-2.6 kernel-modules for nouveau
...STEVENWARD666 at hotmail.com QAContact: xorg-team at lists.x.org Hi to all, I have a question about building my own custom kernel using the rpm-tools. I can build the kernel modules using the out-of-tree build against my latest kernel from Fedora Rawhide with no problems. I have bult my own custom kernel using make xconfig, make clean, make modules, make modules_install,and finally, dracut -f /boot/initramfs <kernel version>.img <kernel version> My only bug-bear by doing the make modules method is that it took a total of 5 1/2 hours with my Athlon XP 3,000 machine.S...

helping to implement samba 4 AD with ldap backend
Hello Rowland the problem is more complex, because we have 13 software/services/api linked to ldap repository on a production environment, we try to use one single user/password for everything, and it works. We update samba 2 or 3 years ago, but we found that samba 4 -ad is that moment is using a bult-in ldap, so we discard this option, because using this ldap implied same that as now reconfigure all 13 software, import schemas, adapt backups process, monitoring process, change ips, etc. So we discard this option because it is a lot of work, and we think is not compensates change everything just...

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc (pre-release and svn sources) fails to compile on Solaris10/SPARC
I am new to LLVM, and I'm trying to compile llvm and llvm-gcc from subversion on a Solaris10/SPARC machine. I have already tried building llvm-2.4 on this machine, but it failed. I then tried the subversion sources (rev. # 65253 fro llvm and rev#65263 for llvm-gcc) and llvm at least builds correctly ( I however have not tried testing it!). I can execute binaries located in

Re: assigning with operator '='.
I've just checked out Jens Oehlschlgel's posting as regards assigning with the ``='' operator. Yep, the phenomenon described really does happen. And yep, it sure seems ***very*** dangerous to me. Mind you, using ``='' as the assignment operator strikes me as being dangerous anyhow. Bad design decision by the S people (by John Chambers?) and R should ***not*** have
