RHEL 7.3 released
...ith the NetworkManager rebase more complicated arbitrary layering of interfaces is possible (eg physical -> team -> vlan -> bridge), which I'll be revisiting my old NM article to investigate soon, and Wi-Fi scanning will use a randomised MAC ... this may affect some people. For a known BSSID the connect won't be a randomised MAC though just when scanning. The firewalld zones become a bit more usable with ipsets being usable to define the zone making management of which networks go in which zones a bit nicer - I'll be revisiting my old firewalld article to investigate this too....

OT: adding a wifi adapter to openvswitch
Hi all, Finally, I have installed openvswitch from source to two CentOS hosts: one 6.x and other 7.x. I will do some tests using openvswitch bridges to my KVM machines. One of these tests is to add a wlan0 adapter from comandline but only when this wlan0 is associated with a ssid without assign an IP. Is this posible? Do I nees to add some ebtables like, for example, Debian's wiki

v4: - Break out the memzero_explicit() change as suggested by Dan Carpenter so that it can be backported to stable. - Drop the "crypto: Remove unnecessary memzero_explicit()" patch for now as there can be a bit more discussion on what is best. It will be introduced as a separate patch later on after this one is merged. This patchset makes a global rename of the kzfree()

[PATCH 0/2] mm, treewide: Rename kzfree() to kfree_sensitive()
This patchset makes a global rename of the kzfree() to kfree_sensitive() to highlight the fact buffer clearing is only needed if the data objects contain sensitive information like encrpytion key. The fact that kzfree() uses memset() to do the clearing isn't totally safe either as compiler may compile out the clearing in their optimizer. Instead, the new kfree_sensitive() uses

[PATCH v3 0/8] Fix connector probing deadlocks from RPM bugs
This is the next version of https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/series/46815/ With a lot more thought put into it so as to avoid the potential deadlock scenarios I missed. This also required fixing some bogus DRM helper usage. Try and deadlock me now, nouveau. I dare you!!!
