multichannel streaming
Hallo!
We are searching for a streaming-server for a e-learning system at a
university and therefore and I wanted to ask some questions:
There is a database of recordings on the server, and only registered
users (students) are allowed to hear those.
So if a user wants to hear record A, then a stream should be opened
(maybe a new mount point ?) and only this user should be allowed to hear

It probably would.

that would probably be possible with ogg/vorbis. You'd need to find
a client software supporting that though.

Have you an idea how it would be possible ?
I just read the documentation for the config-file about mount-points:
http://www.icecast.org/docs/icecast-2.2.0/icecast2_config_file.html#mount
But in our situation we would have e.g. 10 listeners in parallel (which

Cisco AnyConnect on 6.2 32-bit?
Grr.. I'm pulling my hair out trying to get the Cisco AnyConnect client to
work under 6.2 32-bit. Seems like there is always 1 thing preventing my
from using the latest centos release as my sole workstation.
It was actually working on a new install for about half a day. I rebooted
and now it won't connect. If I boot another vm (ubuntu or oel 5.7) the same
client works.

ZFS Inexpensive SATA Whitebox
All,
So I have started working with Solaris 10 at work a bit (I''m a Linux
guy by trade) and I have a dying nfs box at home. So the long and short of
it is as follows: I would like to setup a SATAII whitebox that uses ZFS as
its filesystem. The box will probably be very lightly used, streaming media
to my laptop and workstation would be the bulk of the work. However I do
have quite a
