Centos 5.1
I'm about to try Centos 5 (first time user).
Question: I have the 5.0 CD-ROMs, so can I install with them and them
update to 5.1 via the internet, or should I use the 5.1 CDs?
Thanks.

[LLVMdev] Is this list for users?
I haven't found an LLVM or Clang users' list--is there such a thing?
Thanks.

Centos 5 - Install Hangup
...s and can't get past this point. It may be
a hardware problem, but other things work on the same system under
Fedora 7.
BTW, old AMD dual CPU, Gigabyte server MOBO, 1.5 Gb RAM, WD IDE drive,
generic IDE CD-RW. ATI Raden graphics card.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Login Feature
...which we have used for years.
His main objection so far has been the lack of a neat feature of
recent Fedoras (at least since 7) that allows a user to login as
himself if the screen is locked by another user (a switch user
feature).
Is that feature available or is it planned?
Thanks.

under Linux.
I have tried EVGA Nvidia 9500 GT with no luck. I have also tried XFX
6300 XT (not CUDA-capable) and cannot make it work under Centos,
either
I am using Centos 5.2, x86_64 on a Gigabyte mobo with Intel Core 2 Duo.
I appreciate any help,

Video Card [SOLVED]

Nvidia driver packages but that has proved to be unreliable for
me--once more, thanks to John Stanley for pointing out the other list

I hope this helps others with weird video problems.

Question on Linux Shared Printer
...Linux server so that
the printer (and its host) is visible and usable to my WIn95 machine on a WinNT domain.
But when I try to access the printer on any other Win95 machine on the NT network,
access is denied and the printer is not visible (but the host is).
Any hints would be appreciated.

[LLVMdev] Shared Libraries (dlls) using MinGW
So I've been looking around for people who have built shared libraries on
windows and have run in to a bit of a stumbling block. I'm able to compile
without the BUILD_SHARED_LIBS flag but if I put turn the flag on as follows:
cmake -G "MinGW Makefiles" -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE:STRING=Release
-DBUILD_SHARED_LIBS:BOOL=ON ../llvm-2.7
Then call:
mingw32-make
I get:

[LLVMdev] Clang vs. gcc for building BRL-CAD
I've been interested in llvm for some time, and I finally got around to
testing it with BRL-CAD. I first built llvm and clang from the current svn
trunk, but that generated a crash report (llvm bug 16921 just submitted to
llvm.org).
Then I installed clang+llvm (v. 3.3.0) on Debian amd64 from pre-built
binaries and got a good BRL-CAD build (but I haven't done the regression
tests yet) and
